Mijas (/ˈmiːhəs/ MEE-həs; Spanish: [ˈmixas]) is a town and municipality in the Province of Málaga, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. Located on the South-Eastern coast of Spain, Mijas belongs to the region of Costa del Sol Occidental. Its centre is a typical Andalusian white-washed village, located on a mountainside about 430 metres or 1,476 feet above sea level, in the heart of the Costa del Sol region.

Having read the great reviews of Stones on Tripadvisor my husband and I thought we'd pay it a visit. We have been coming to Fuengirola for years and always like to try out 'new' eateries and Stones certainly didn't disappoint. It's situated very centrally in a small square a few blocks back from the Maritimo, opposite the port. Staff, whom I'm assuming we're the owners were helpful and friendly.I'd intended having something quite light/small but seeing another customer with one of the house specials, the chicken and mushroom pie, we decided to give it a try. I am very fussy with chicken, only liking breast of chicken in pies and I was very happy to be told that it's only chicken breast that the chef/cook uses for the pies. It came with homemade chips and peas and a jug of gravy and was delicious. The pastry was light and scrummy and the pie filling was generously filled with chicken, mushrooms, bacon and a creamy sauce. The only downside was that we weren't able for one of the delicious sounding deserts. We'll just have to go back to sample more of Stone's lovely home cooked food. I'd certainly have no hesitation in recommending this friendly café and look forward to our next visit. Thank you for this amazing review so pleased we didn't disappointed you. Lovely friendly restaurant, steak, chips and peppered sauce deal with a bottle of the house white wine was very enjoyable and reasonably priced, if in the area, defo worth a visit.

This must be my 20th if not more times I have been here. Without a doubt the best fillet steak in town Carl produces the most amazing food from his open plan kitchen and Shelly his wife who is front of house does a perfect job too. Many restaurants owners in the area should take note of how to cook a perfect fillet steak by a visit here. Well done you two.

Called Up booked a table. We turned up early had a couple of drinks at the bar before we were seated. Everyone ordered the roast dinner & cheesecake.Roast was spot on. Just like walking into nanâs House on a Sunday uninvited, sit down to a plate of proper home cooked food followed by a home made cheesecake. Nothing was left on the plates & it was the best meal of a 2 week stay in Malaga for sure.Yorkshire pudding were huge! Cheesecake was something else. Owners couldnât do enough for you. Popped in after seeing facebook comments how well they were doing and it is no wonder they are alreadyin top 10 and wel deserves as the tapas we had was amazing and all cooked from scratch. The owners are lovely and the bar very welcoming. We will definately be visiting next time we are on holiday as want to try the pork on bubble and squeak and the quail eggs next time.Hi Sandra. Went here a few years ago had an excellent carvery but fancied ribs the other night. Only given a normal knife and had to hack at bones. Chips not very warm. Popped in with visiting family following seeing the TripAdvisor reviews. We were initially impressed by the friendly and attentive service - the staff were excellent with our little one. We then had 4 different main meals and a couple of kiddie ones. Everyone was very happy with what they got and absolutely everything was homemade. I had the Perfect Pig Burger and it was one of the best sandwiches Iâve had in a long time. Will certainly return to try the hot dogs which had sold out by the time we arrived (that can only be a good thing right?!). Thank you so much for your review. Small cafe in Mijas Pueblo that certainly delivers on quality of food and service. Warm welcome and effcient and friendly service from owners/ staff. It is there to appeal to Brits in the sun and it does that so very well- tho it does go a little off piste with pancakes , bacon and maple syrup! - and it was maple syrup with its distinctive flavour they didnt try and get away with a cheap alternative !! Avocado, tomato and egg also keeping up with latest trends. Well done. Well worth visiting.
