If you are craving churasco in Maceio this is probably a good place for you.Don't put your expectations too high if you are used to good meat from the South or Sao Paulo. They can't compete.Maceio is not famous for good meat/churasco. Meat quality was ok. The best was "prime rib". Lamb and pork are far below standard. Papaya cream was not made with fresh papayas.Service too pushy, too much trying to sell additional expensive addons.Thank you for visiting and sharing with us how you felt Shensen. This information is very important to keep us improving. We already sent your testimonial to the management! Come back soon, so you will see how much we have worked and improved thanks to your comment!

Restaurant that provides in and outdoor tables with specialized in grilled meat. The food is good, service efficient and prices reasonable. They made an effort to provide menus translated in 6 and more languages which is unique in Maceio.... but translations are just good enough to have got the giggles!

It is quite difficult to find good restaurants in Maceió, most of them only offer lazy and overpriced variations of beach food, especially in Pajuçara area. This one is quite simple and inexpensive, with good food and service, especially from sweet Bruna and her smile! The menu is very clear, portions are large (also for sandwiches) and one leaves the place fully pleased; juices are not fresh, though.

Sur Arte Gastronomica

It was late and I really didn't feel like going out to eat, but my colleagues convinced me to go out and celebrate a very successful project. Man, am I glad they did.Really a cool decor and it felt really comfortable. One of the executive chefs got word that I don't speak Portuguese and he came over to the table personally to help me order. I had the lobster (but they are the size of shrimp). It was delicious. My colleagues were both delighted with their food too.The sommelier was vigilant and watched every table. Topping off everyone's glasses at precisely the right time. Wine selection appeared good, but the one down side is that they were out of several of the items on their wine list.I'm not a dessert eater, but I did taste my colleague's dessert at her insistence. That was yummy too. This is the best meal I've ever had in Brazil. Delicious.

This restaurant serves many of the dishes typical of the cuisine of Mina's Gerais:feijao tropeiro, chicken with Qiabo, several farofas, etc etc. It is spacious, with outside terrace and very reasonably priced. We had the Amostrado, which is a plate with a selection of the best dishes. Surely a place to go back to. Strongly recommended if you are interested in typical Brazilian cuisine.

Huge variety of regional NE food, from shrimp bobó, to different cuscuz, to sun dried beef, to sheep and goat; some options are for well initiated people (buchada, sarapatel), but the large majority of dishes will be appreciated by mostly everyone. The variety of vegetarian options is limited, but include corn and tapioca cuscuz, the great NE cassava, some salads. You help yourself and weigh your dish; reasonably priced, considering the quality. A modest menu offers mostly regional snacks, like tapioca, cartola, and coffee.Hello! We want to thank you for your visit! We appreciated it. <3Be always welcome here in Bodega do Sertão.See you soon!

Restaurante Janga Praia

Reviewed By Cacovi

There are two JANGA restaurants in Maceió, one in Ponta Verde and the second, which we visited, the JANGA PRAIA, in Pajuçara. It is brand new, facing the sea, a beautiful building completely renovated and with a modern and pleasant decoration. Perfect location, lighting and air conditioning. The service is impeccable, with helpful and friendly staff. Good wine list, though limited. But you should not judge the book by its cover. The food (sea-food, that we had), despite nice looking, is common, there are no exclusive dishes, only different names for the same thing. We ordered shrimp and octopus, paid for it, and got rice and potatoes and onions and vegetables (90%) and some shrimp or small pieces of octopus (10%, maybe). You can eat tastier, more plentiful and much cheaper dishes in other restaurants throughout the city. It looks like the owner invested a lot of money in this restaurant and thinks as a financier, not as a restaurateur: first my profit and then customer satisfaction. This can not work. It's not going to work. Not in a restaurant, in my opinion. Unless it changes radically.Hi, how are you?First of all, we'd like to thank you for your feedback, this helps us to always improve. Our food is prepared with a lot of affection and with the best ingredients to offer the best gastronomic experience to you. We were sad to hear that your experience here was like that. We want you to know that this is not the standard we are always seeking to offer our costumes. We hope you give us a chance in the future. We will be happy to serve you!A big hug,Janga Family.
