Moraine Lake is one of the main sightseeings in Banff National Park, one of the three national parks, which are close with others: Yoho, and Jasper National Parks. Here it is possible to do some different excursions (we did one, the Consolation Lake Trial about 6 km surrounding the lake and go up to a the other lake), really a wonderful excursion with great views of the lake and surroundings.. Near the lake, there are some natural areas of forest, where you can see also very beautiful views. A Top in (West) Canada!!! In fact, the best views are from a little top in front of Morraine Lake, from where you can see incredible views of the lake and the Valley of Ten Peaks. Driving back from the Icefield we happened upon this hidden gem. We were able to drive to top parking lot so only a short walk out to the lookout through a pine forest that was so beautiful with the snow on the trees from the snow we received that morning (yes in June!) When you get to the lookout the view of Peyto Lake is breathtaking. The colour is brilliant blue. So glad we found this beauty!

The canal is definitely a must see when you visit Ottawa. Best time to enjoy would be may - September when the canal is filled and boat tours are open, as well as in February during Winterlude. You can skate the entire canal weather permitting. If you are a cyclist, runner, or have a dog, there are lovely paths on either side of the canal that you can travel along. Even driving next to it - it’s so beautiful.

Lake Ontario is a vast body of water with lots going on.The ferries and water taxis to and from the islands are a nice trip as is a walk along the Lake shore with the many boats and birds to see.There are also the comings and goings of the smaller planes from Billy Bishop Airport and we were lucky enough to watch a sea plane landing.Lots to see and do.

A pretty little lake that is close to Whistler Village and easily accessible on foot, by bike or using the municipality's free summer shuttle, which runs from the Gateway Loop by the Whistler gondola every 15 minutes. There's a beach, a doggie beach further along, a dock around the far side of the lake, and an easy to walk loop of a couple of kilometres. There are toilets, a place to top up a water bottle, and sometimes a food truck in on site. On a hot day, it does get very busy. So be warned. And the water really isn't all that warm. That's it! Enjoy.

Before our trip, without really knowing about the beautiful lakes in the Canadian Rockies, by 13 year old mentioned having a dream about being out on a beautiful lake with mountains around, and he wanted to do that, so a canoe trip here was a top goal on our trip. After hitting some construction traffic on the way, we got in the lot just a couple minutes before the deadline- he and my wife ran in and got the last canoe, while my other son and i just enjoyed the late afternoon light hitting the lake. Just a memorable time, and quite the contrast to the white water rafting we had completed earlier in the day. Louise and Moraine are incredibly beautiful, but loved our time at Emerald Lake.

Kayaked from Bowness to the Peace Bridge in downtown Calgary, had an absolute blast! Some fast water and some calm! Lots of people out but very calming

We did a boat trip on Maligne Lake, the driver and the guide on the boat were very knowledgeable and chatty, they helped make the trip fun. The lake is large and very beautiful, and once we stopped it was very quiet, I liked that there was only one boat at a time docked. Spirit Island was a little disappointing, I think we all thought it would be larger, it’s only small and not really an Island, but it was interesting hearing all about it.
