Reviewed By Iriss92Book for the view, nothing else. Rooms are quite a walk and the bathroom is very very dirty and outdated. The shower curtains were full of mold and when turning on the shower there was water everywhere in your room. The bar is awesome they make great margaritas, but for this money you would expect more of the room.

Lovely place
Reviewed By RikkeJ263We stayed a week at the Whale Tail Hotel and we enjoyed every minute of it. They have a fanatical beautiful garden where you can relax in the pool or in one of their many hammocks. We got great help in their reception on all our queries. Among other things, they booked 2 amazing trips for us, a snorkeling trip and a canyoning trip. The hotel is close to nice restaurants, including the hotel's own brewery and within walking distance to a beautiful waterfall. I highly recommend staying at Whale Tail if you are in Uvita. They have the sweetest staff.

Reviewed By serenap271This place is the place to stay. First of all, it's immaculately clean with a delightful pool. This was our third place we tried in Uvita (all for about the same price for a private room) and hands down this was our favorite place. We loved it for the following reasons: 1. Amazing bed and AMAZINGLY clean room 2. The pool (key with the hot weather) 3. 10 minute walk to Uvita Falls- WOW. You could spend a day here 4. Just a short walk to center of the town with restaurants, a brewery, and much more 5. The owner, Christian, designed the entire place and takes great pride in the property. You can tell how well taken care of it was. After saying outside of town a bit, we liked it here much better and this is probably the cleanest place I've stayed in in all of Central America. Wow. You can't beat this place and the location/bed/cleanliness/and the kind owner. Wow, wow. wow. 6. It's like a little oasis right near the center of town- walkable to EVERYTHING.

A gentle warning
Reviewed By 787randallrI can't recommend this hotel. There are a number of good points: helpful staff, attractive building, nice pool, convenient location. But the bad points are pretty strong and mostly have to do with the building itself. It looks nice, but has no noise insulation, so you hear both your neighbors and the busy road outside. I was wakened at 1 am by a truck downshifting on the curvy hill, and although that was the only one that woke me up, i was listening to them the whole time i was in the room. The room itself just isn't finished well. There's an overhead light with a bare bulb, a table lamp with a shade that doesn't fit, and the switch for the bathroom light is not only outside the door, but on the wrong side so you have to walk completely outside the bath to turn on the light you should have got on the way in. I realize these are not big issues. We finished our 2 night stay. The price is reasonable in an area where there are not many bargains. If this hotel meets your needs, come book. But don't bring high expectations.

Reviewed By 433jeremyvOur stay at Hotel Faremiti was outstanding! My family and I stayed in the Medusa apartment which is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. The apartment is spacious with 3 bedrooms and 2 large bathrooms, a kitchen/dining area, private garden access, and plenty of luggage storage. This space is ideal for families and/or 3 couples. The location in Uvita is great with easy access to the beach, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. The kitchen in the apartment allows you to easily cook for yourself or within a 1-2 minute walk there is a restaurant. There are many other placed to eat within driving distance. Sylvain (co-owner) is a great communicator and ensures he meets the needs of his guest. Highly recommend and we will stay again when we are back in the area!
