Reviewed By Katya VThis was a great little hotel in the centre of Dortmund. Convenient, clean, quiet, and most importantly, with a great cafe. The cafe opened early (6:30 Monday - Saturday, I think 8 on Sundays), which was very convenient for that first tea/coffee of the day. They did a good range of drinks, cakes, sandwiches as well as a full continental for €10. I can highly recommend their muesli, which I believe is made in house. The staff were all very accommodating and spoke good English.

Reviewed By andreasgregroThe Hotel Claudius is a small and quiet hotel in a very central area of Bochum. The staff is absolutely friendly. The breakfast is good and ample. The door opener can be a bit of a problem as you need to push a little button directly in front of the door knob.

Reviewed By FredericPlassonWONDERFUL ROOMS. Very modern. Cosy design: wood, white and purple. Attention to detail: Modern bathroom. Lots of light switches and electric plugs. Free extras: it's so little but other hotels wont just do it: free bottle of water, free tea and coffee, a big bowl of sweets, ear plugs.... The room was so nice it had a "soothing" effect on my mood immediately, after a tiring business travel. AMAZING BED and great QUIETNESS during the quiete hours: only very rare and very dimmed noise from the outside. SLEPT LIKE A BABY, what rarely occurs on business trips. SERVICE: a quiete room was reserved even though I checked in late, the ironing board I asked for was waiting in the room at arrival. LOCATION: no street noise. Train line on the back of the building. 5-10 minutes walk to the S-Bahn (local train), 10 minutes taxi (15€) to main train station. Nothing in the near surroundings, but you wouldn't go there to enjoy burstling nightlife. GOOD BREAKFAST: not a huge buffet, but varied and very good quality tasty components. Very good coffee. Fresh ingredients, like fresh orange juice to press yourself. GOOD INTERNET for my three devices. Vouchers are for two devices, just ask for another one if you have more devices. Did't use it (no car..) but there seems to be PARKING directly at the hotel. An enormous car park in the building next door. ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT and advice to the management: The NOISE ISOLATION INSIDE THE BUILDING The door from the staircase to the corridor slams with incomprehensibly amazingly loud noise. So do the room doors. The corridor floor is very hard, you hear people's heels and.... the rolling suitcases. I don't understand how a hotel on this level of design and attention to well being included this noise factor in their concept. BUT: if in Gelsenkirchen, this will be my hotel choice again!

The " Hotel Rutherbach " is a small , family-run country house hotel with an intimate atmosphere and is ideally located between Essen-Werden and Essen-Kettwig , directly at the Ruhr . Popular hiking and cycling trails , such as the RuhrtalRadweg , pass by the house . The city center is a short drive away. The connection to the Messe Dusseldorf and Essen exhibition center is convenient and easy . A trip here takes about 20 minutes . An ideal location for discerning business and fair guests , and bicycle and city tourists . The entire hotel was completely renovated of 2010. The rooms are modern and comfortably furnished and offer everything your heart desires . The new bathrooms have shower and toilet each . Parking is available and free in front of the house . Dogs are allowed in the hotel and in front of the house there is a small beer garden for residents

Reviewed By Q6760YIandreasgSauberes in die Jahre gekommenen Hotel. Schon etwas älteres Mobiliar, Teppichboden in Plattenform. Trotzdem alles gepflegt und sauber. Die Chefin ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Frühstück ausreichend und gut.

Fairly basic and limited parking
Reviewed By Stuart FArrived at about 8pm and no one at front desk - key under a lamp on an outside table. Room was fairly basic and bed not too comfortable. Staff friendly when we checked out in the morning. Parking is limited in their car park but you can park on the road outside. The small suburb of Essen is quite quiet but there are restaurants and bars 100 meters up the road.

Für mich persönlich passt das nicht zusammen mit den vielen E-Mails die ich erhalten hatte. Wenn ich auf Geschäftsreise bin habe ich keine Zeit mich um gefühlt unzählige Mails vom Hotel zu kümmern. Selber einchecken, meldeschein und was weiß ich nicht noch. Das Hotel soll entspannen nicht nerven für mich. Stellt doch lieber zu Stoßzeiten zwei Leute oder einen Concierge an den Empfang im „Concierge“ Hotel. Ich hab schon B-Deals mit weniger Mails gemacht. Einchecken ect sehe ich nicht als meine Arbeit an sondern die des Hotels. Inkl genug Personal dass es dann schnell geht. Hab genug um die Ohren am B-Trip ohne Hotelmails. Top Bewertung trotzdem wegen tollem Zimmer.

Central Pension is the former central pharmacy located in western Duisburg and offers bright rooms that come with free WiFi access. Set in a city villa, guests are offered basic accommodation as well as access to a shared kitchen. The rooms at Central Pension feature basic, modern furnishing and include a sofa and a washing machine. Each room comes with a flat-screen TV and guests have access to a terrace. Set only 250 from a pedestrian area, guests will find various cafés and restaurant in the vicinity of the villa. Offering good public transport links to the city centre, Central Pension is located just 5 km from Duisburg Town Hall. This property was the former Central Apotheke. The property offers free parking and is only 20 km from Dusseldorf Airport.
Something a little different to mainstream hotels.
Reviewed By Darren SI arrived a little later than the stated 20.00h last check in time but no problem. Apparently the glass doors into the reception is never used, so you go to the side door at all times anyway. The owner is very informative regarding what to do and where to go. The room was fairly basic with an unfinished kitchenette in one corner. The toilet was across the corridor and the shower room further down the passageway. A little running of the gauntlet if your wrapped in a towel as youre viewable via the reception area. No food stuffs are available except free coffee and honour system for coke and beer. There is a 24hr Shell garage across the road with a small supermarket. Duisburg is not the most prosperous of areas and to be fair the hotel is very reasonably priced. You pay your money and make your choice.
