Shopping and restaurants right out the door. Price will not kill you like most in the area. The lady at the front desk is wonderful with help and suggestions.

This was my (maybe) eighth visit to the 1661 and I keep returning because there is nowhere else on the Island I care to be! Not only are the rooms impeccably clean, but the staff is courteous, helpful and friendly. Rita is so sweet and approachable. She is so friendly, my husband is convinced she knows us, though I do my best to convince him we are only two of thousands of visitors a year, she is THAT hospitable! Thank you AGAIN for such a wonderful stay 1661! Can’t wait to return!!❤️ R LaFlamme

We stayed here on a trip to Newport in the early spring. Lovely apartment with a beautiful kitchen and large, comfortable living room. Everything was super clean and well appointed. The house is located right in town--we were able to walk to everything--to breakfast and dinner and sight seeing. A nice parking area is provided and check in and check out was well organized and efficient. Would recommend and would also return for a visit.

We made a last minute reservation the stay at the Inn on Bellevue. We arrived about 9:15PM and we greeted by Angel. He checked us in and showed up to our room. When he opened the door there was a small issue with it and he graciously took us to another room right down the hall. Angel was apologetic and accommodating to us for our stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and we almost slept though our alarms. That would have been so unfortunate as the breakfast was outstanding. Juice, coffee, pastries, sausage, soufflé and fresh fruit. Delicious and filling! The staff was friendly, helpful and made you feel at home. We will see you again!!
