Lovely retreat in fair Pisac...the owner family is nice and warm hearty. I enjoyed the stay and the lovely breakfast on the little terrasse.Everything is nice and clean and you can use the little kitchen to get a tea. They organized a pickup for me from Cusco airport and everything worked fine. I was happy to see, that they didn't overcharge as it you often see with extra services. This place is a good base for walks up the hills or visits of the neighborhood.

Bamboo Lodge Sacred Valley

AMAZING hotel!

Reviewed By A9925KSjessicag

I checked into Bamboo Lodge after unexpectedly canceling my other hotel reservation. Carina was professional and incredibly helpful. My room was like something out of a magazine! It overlooked the peaceful river. It is in a great location; not directly in the center of all of the hustle and bustle. The free breakfast was delicious! I was able to take breakfast in my room during one of the days I had to work early. I was surprised to have a space heater and extra blankets, much needed during the cold nights. The balcony was tremendous and a beautiful place to work from as the Wifi extended all over the property. The hotel was very covid safe and everything was cleaned routinely with hand sanitizer throughout. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel. The price is unbeatable for the quality! I will definitely be returning in the future.

Certainly worthy of consideration

The location is very good, right on the main strip, and just a few blocks from the main shopping areas. We had a room overlooking the river, which is always nice, but it was really nothing special about the hotel. The Wi-Fi was spotty, which is typical in peru, and unfortunately we had very little if any hot water to take a shower

Not COVID safe

Reviewed By A9925KSjessicag

While Hatha hostel is in a gorgeous location with many friendly people, I cannot in good conscience ever recommend this hostel. The day before I checked in, one of the guest in the shared space has tested positive for covid. I was not informed until a day later by another guest (not even management), no one was wearing masks, and there was neither hand sanitizer or soap available (even in the bathrooms). The person who tested positive was not wearing a mask and was walking freely throughout the property, not properly quarantining. The hostel itself was cleaned once a day but not well. My bedroom sheets were obviously dirty when I arrived and the shared bathroom was filthy. When another person tested positive, precautions still were not being taken. I decided to leave and was only given my money back for one night. Over the weekend (one day after the second person tested positive), the hostel had a shared, potluck style dinner of the Easter holiday which they promoted, knowing two people had tested positive and almost everyone had been exposed. Not only do I feel lied to and disrespected, but management continued to put the lives of all of their guests in danger in order to make money. Myself and several other guests left in order to properly quarantine and had to pay for covid testing, which cost us much more money than expected. If I had known someone in the hostel had tested positive, I NEVER would have stayed. This is a "travel at your own risk" hostel as there is 0% chance you cannot be exposed in these conditions. This hostel was such a disappointment as it had many great reviews.

Pisacayllu features a 24 hour front desk, room service, and a gift shop, to help make your stay more enjoyable. The property also boasts an on-site restaurant. Close to Hacienda Sarapampa (1.9 mi), a popular Pisac landmark, Pisacayllu is a great destination for tourists. When you’re feeling hungry, be sure to check out Blue Llama, Spices Restaurant, and Migas del Valle, which are some cafes that are popular with locals and out-of-towners alike. If you’re looking for things to do, you can check out Pisac (1.1 mi), which is a popular attraction amongst tourists, and it is within walking distance. Enjoy your stay in Pisac!

Hospedaje Samana Wasi Pisac

We did not enjoy our stay

Reviewed By racheldragonfly

My friend and I booked 4 nights at this hostel and we left after one. Firstly the people working there were not very personable and we had to request toilet paper, soap and towels, we had to wait around for the only woman who has the wifi password and she types it in herself rather than writing it down for you. We checked in in the morning and she wasn't around to do this until late evening. This was the noisiest hostel I've stayed in. The beds were uncomfortable. The tables were filthy, I had to wipe them down twice. Our reservation said our room included a balcony.. there were double doors that opened out to no balcony, just the plastic over the market along the street and there was a bed pushed up against it so we couldn't open them up anyway. There was a window missing in the bathroom which added to the noise and COLD! They didn't offer any heaters either. Breakfast was okay but they only offered powered coffee that looked and smelled old. Also no one told us the gates would be locked at certain hours and we found ourselves locked in when we tried to go out for a morning walk! No one around to let us out. I will never stay here again and do not recommend it.
