Reviewed By BerniemendozaI was overall satisfied. The room was clean and not too old. The emplyees were friendly and helpful. One problem was that our room was never dark enough, even at night, because of a window with white (almost transparent) courtains that was close to a light bulb outside. This is something very easy to fix, they should just turn that specific light off at night or replace the curtain for blackout ones. The pool was very nice, and the hotel is located a walking distance of the water park.

O Planet Dunas esta localizado no Porto das Dunas a poucos metros do Beach Park. Pra quem procura descanso, bem estar, tranquilidade aqui é o lugar certo.
Extremely hard mattresses make sleeping a challenge
Reviewed By MaskotasPluses: The staff was very friendly and the attached restaurant was one of the best options in town. The remainder of my review will only talk to my experience as a guest. The mattresses were the hardest I have ever seen, so hard we changed rooms with the hope the second room would have softer ones...but no luck. It was very difficult to sleep because of them. The breakfast area is very inefficiently distributed (causing pile-ups of people) and no one removes plates after guests eat. My wife really liked the included breakfast but I did not. The slow wifi only reached part or our room and cut in and out constantly. There was evangelical programming on the reception area TV and a bible in each room: neither of these are common in Brazil. Personally, I found this to be off-putting but there surely are religious people that would enjoy both. Guests by the pool played loud music all afternoon, which management did not hinder. To be honest, all the hotel's faults are not big issues. The rock-hard mattresses are!

Mr Sampa: definition of rude
Reviewed By ceciliabF1430VDWe were kicked out of the restaurant for being “gringos”. We went there for breakfast where they offered 45 items among which they had scrambled eggs and tapiocas. I asked for the tapiocas and “mister sampa” (as written on his T-shirt) very rudely said I had to get other food first and then he would come and take my order. My husband went to get food and mr sampa started telling him that if we were not pleased with the service we were welcomed to leave. Then he said that this was his country and that he didn’t need gringos as clients. We were with our children (aged 5 and 9) and didn’t want to make a scene thus we left. Our daughter was very shocked and kept on asking why he was so rude. We’ve been living in Brazil for 6 years and never been treated like this for being foreigners (our son is in fact Brazilian).

Reviewed By gabrielhulinAfter thinking about travelling to many places in Brazil, I decided to visit the state of Ceara, and a lot of friends told me that Porto das Dunas would be an excellent choice. Great beaches, nice and cozy restaurants, the famous Beach Park and the one and only Pousada Brisa do Mar! Staying there was a superb experience. From breakfast to the well-decorated and clean rooms. Incredible staff! 5 stars! No doubt!
