Playa Gandia

We visited in winter and not long after the storms which left the beaches battered. They are just about recovered and the council (and volunteers) are working hard still. This is a beautiful beach. At town centre end there in the port which opens to a beautiful and long golden beach with recreational zones. It is superb and a stunning beach.

Platja de Daimus

This isn’t your average tourist trap beach; busiest in the summer months, but even so, in August you’re not 7 lines of human traffic from the lovely clear waters edge. We arrived at 12 in the afternoon and sat a stones throw from the lapping waves, people who frequent Daimus beach are mainly locals, many bars and restaurants nearby. Lovely breakfast/coffee deals in many places. Parking is available but fills up fast! Get in early if you don’t want to be driving around for 10mins searching/hoping for a spot to open up. I’d recommend going about 8/9am to get the best of the tranquility and some breakfast before you start worshipping the sun !

Our friends visit this area (or close by) each year. This year I finally took our friends up on the offer to fly out and visit them during their extended holiday. Had I have known when booking, what I know now, I’d have stayed for longer! I can only speak for May... quiet resort, flat playa, stunning beach! Would I visit here again? In a heart beat! If you’re staying in neighbouring resorts it’s definitely worth a visit, even at the weekends, very quiet.

We have been in Puerto Sagunto in 2014, 2015, 2017, and 2018. You always come cack to this city when you really enjoy a beautiful small beach with many amenities in their Maritime street. You can enjoy the sand and sea in the morning, leave your umbrella and folding chairs to go for lunch, and go back later. The are some trees near the Palencia River where we hang our hammock. Families pick this areas for picnics. This beach was the first in having a rescue drone to support lifeguards. Every year we can see all the quality and blue flags.
