City Stream Brewery was an amazing place to have dinner. I had gluten free Mac and cheese which was amazing and my colleagues had burgers, which they said were equally good. The beer menu is decent and the downeast cider they have is delicious. Definitely would eat here again.

The food and service once we were seated was awesome. The salsa was great. They did a great job making a vegan friendly meal. We were there for the ninja warrior competition and they were all kinds of bizarre dietary request that they accommodated. My only criticism is that getting a seat which is way too difficult. We stood there in the way but people walking past itâs not looking at us. We felt kind of awkward

The dining room was dark, but the service and food were fine; while I wouldn't rave about it, there was nothing negative about the experience. The salads were huge, and the burger was good. Parking is always a challenge in Hartford, unless you don't mind parking in a garage.Thank you so much for the great review! We are so happy you enjoyed our genuine hospitality and made-from-scratch food. We have over 20 gourmet burgers so you have to come back to try them ALL! We look forward to seeing you again very soon!

Very inviting restaurant. Makes you feel like you are in one of those little jazz clubs in New York.This was Sunday afternoon and there was a trio (not exactly sure of the number as I didnât see them all) playing beautiful blues that was so perfect to hear in the background.Very nice selection of items on the menu. Servings are plentiful and delicious. Service was very good but not crazy with the busboyâs pants a little to low for working in a restaurant. Now is the time to teach them proper attire if they want to be in the workforce. But canât complain of their good attention and service.Couldnât sit outside as there are renovations going on but still, so happy to even get a seat. For a Sunday afternoon the restaurant was pretty busy. This was my second time here and I was looking very foreword to returning and was not disappointed. Looking forward to returning many more times.

Inhaled my meal, it was so delicious. Ordered blackened fish, arrived perfect.Mashed sweet potatoes, tasted like desert. Green beans were the perfect in between of cooked and crispy. Wrote this review immediately after a Monday dinner.I will be in Hartford for a week. I will try other places this week for variety, but will eat here before I leave on Friday.

This is a specialty burger restaurant but they can not produce a decent burger. We ordered the nightâs special, a cheese burger with fried pancetta and caramelized onions and the bacon cheeseburger with cheddar and caramelized onions. The former came well done as ordered. The other one was ordered medium which was described as just a little pink but it came as quite rare. The caramelized onions were cold and had no flavor. Both burgers despite their fancy presentation were tasteless. One of us ordered the mixed green salad which had nice fresh greens but absolutely tasteless dressing. The French fries were crisp, and nicely seasoned but were served cold. All told a very disappointing meal. The service was good. There were few customers at 5:30. I knew we were in for it when our waiter tossed a paper napkin across the table and said "That's for the water." It was downhill from there. Our waiter was clearly not experienced in working at a higher-end restaurant and was completely disinterested in taking care of the table. After someone else served our soup, no one came by for over 30 minutes. We would have liked to have ordered more drinks, asked where our dinner was, etc. We finally flagged the waiter down to ask about our meals. He disappeared for another five minutes and then reappeared to tell us that his manager would put a rush on the dinner. We had been at the table for over an hour at this point. We paid for what we had consumed and left. There are too many good restaurants in the area to bother with River.We apologize if you didn't receive the best service while dining with us. We recently went to Joey garlics and had a really good dinner. Itâs not my choice for authentic Italian they do have better than average Italian food. The service was good there were seats available we didnât have to wait in the handicap access was excellent. A young woman was saving two seats at the bar for friends, which really is nonsense. Bartenders didnât want to interject.Thank you so much for visiting! I couldn't be happier to hear you enjoyed your dinner with us! I'm sorry if your experience was anything less than perfect in the bar area. Our bar is self-seating, and I apologize if that put a damper on your visit. There are a lot of restaurants in the Rocky Hill area but we chose the Wood-N-Tap after much debate as we wasn't sure what we fancied to eat that night. We made a good choice. The waitress was friendly and attentive, the food was fabulous and the price was about right. It was a busy place, but this did not affect the level of service we received. I had the veggie burger and my husband had the classic. Both were great. Would definitely recommend this place if you are in the area.

Four us us arrived at about 4:00 for Happy Hour. When we seated outdoors, the waitress brought dinner menus. We asked for and received happy hour menus. The selections were such that to satisfy your appetite, you needed to order two. The calimari was especially delicious as were the sliders. The drinks were good as was the service. Before departing, we took a look inside the old building an met the owner who was an very interesting and informative person. All in all, we will be going there in the future. Old Wethersfield is a beautiful area in Connecticut and worth a visit just to see the homes.
