Named after Freddy Mercury, one does expect a bit more Mercury-memorabilia in this pub/restaurant close to the Stone Town harbour than the few random pictures against the wall.The main attraction, however, is its seafront view and close proximity to all the beach activities by the locals.We visited for a beer - or two - around sunset and found it a pleasant experience.The staff was accommodating, helping us to move from the sun to shade and back again to get the best sunset shots.

The Living Room is the Bar/Lounge of the Park Hyatt hotel in Stone Town Zanzibar. There is also extensive outside seating which can probably be considered either part of the Living Room or the Dining Room, which is the more formal dinner option at the Hyatt. We very much enjoyed the drinks and small food options prepared to perfection, both inside in the beautifully decorated lounge as well as outside at the poolside. The Indonesian Nasi Goreng was spot on. The chicken sandwich succulent and very tasty. Stopped by every time we passed by, excellent and fresh local juices, great combinations and lovely atmosphere. Owner is super nice and helpful and there will be jam sessions every Tuesday. Expected more considering the other reviews. Service was slow.Starter didn't turn up. Main courses had an oddly gluey texture and both tasted pretty similar as if the same sauce had been used with just some veg added to one. Quite pricey for what it was. Lots of other places do veg curry probably better.

We stopped by for lunch and a drink after a city walk. Nice variation on the menu, highlighting a.o. a selection of pizzas and indian tandoori and curry dishes.Elevated terrace facing sunset in the evening, inviting for a pre-dinner drink.Next time!

we chose this bar restaurant mainly because of the roof-top providing a good shelter from the beach boys along with a good view from the ground. food was nice, only the sea food carbonara seamed somehow ...strange, but everything else was nice. kind staff and good shade during the afternoon.

I passed there twice for cold drinks during happy hour. Besides proper service, one can enjoy a nice view over Stonetown and enjoy the architecture of an old swahili palace.

Definitely one of best restaurants in Stone town. Food was very delicious and tasty, they offer all kind of cheeses, ham, prosciutto which is very hard to find on Zanzibar. Wine was very good with fair prices. Staff friendly and professional.In total we enjoyed it a lot.If you are staying in Stone town, this is definitely place you must visit.

I loved this restaurant! When I travel I try to eat at different restaurants as much as possible, but we ate at 6 Degrees South almost every night during our 5-day, 4-night stay. The first night in Zanzibar we went to this restaurant and absolutely loved it! The food was great and it has a great view of the ocean. The waitstaff are also extremely friendly and accommodating. They made sure we enjoyed the food and weâre having a good time. We often tried other restaurants during lunch, but never liked the food as much as this place so we always returned for dinner. If you eat here you will not be disappointed! Hi, thank you for the awesome review and 5 stars!
