I forgot how expensive this place is for what it sells - mexican/texican food. I ordered pork chimichangas and it cost me $25 which is pretty steep for what you get. It was also okay - nothing spectacular. I also ordered the matchsticks which are really nice but I could only eat a couple of them before I was sick of them. They do really good drinks here though - I had a passionfruit sangria for the same price as a mocktail. The choc nachos are also a favourite. I would only ever come back here for the drinks and the choc nachos. Nothing on the menu seemed desirable and everything was way too overpriced.

Went here recently with the In Laws and they were surprised at the size of the meals when they came out - no complaints from anyone at the table as the prices were also very reasonable. having the bar close by is a treat also. Went in a few days later however and no Tap beer in the main bar which was strange but I am sure it will be sorted.

Went here on two different occasions. A busy hotel with friendly staff. Our meals consisted of Eye Fillet Steak, Tomato Gnocci, Chicken Parma and assorted side dishes. The food was very good and I would definitely go back there.

We had both a lunch and dinner at the funky fresh restaurant, the venue is well themed and provides a family friendly experience. Service is quick once ordered (no table service) and staff were happy and helpful. We had the 4 tacos for lunch and burgers and ribs for dinner, all were fresh and filling, would highly recommend the rib special.

This was our first stop after checking in to the hotel having flown in from Sydney.This place was recommended by a friend who has family in Townsville.The service was good and prices reasonable.Setting is ok- along City Lane and there was a decent atmosphere for what was a quiet Sunday. Jalapeño poppers were great and the steak fajitas were ok.Would have like to give 3.5 but still TA doesnât allow.

Itâs just a great spot to take family and friends for lunch or dinner. We dropped in here for lunch with friends on a Sunday afternoon and were met with a beautiful little breeze sitting outside looking over the marina. Oysters, seafood wraps, steak sandwich, wow it was all great - Iâd suggest for $50 you become a member

I went here on Saturday night with my dear elderly neighbour who had never been there before. We both had chicken crispers, mocktails and apple pies and had a ball. The service was impeccable and I swear we had our meals within 5 minutes of ordering them! Well done team!

We went to this pub for dinner on two occasions. The Malt is an upmarket version of the usual pub dining. The first time we ordered Haloumi and Avocado Salad and the Chef's Handcrafted Gnocci (forest mushrooms and broccoli). Our meals were delicious and the service was very good. On the second occasion we ordered the same meals (vegetarian) and our companion ordered a steak from the special's menu. He said that the steak was very tough and told the waitress so.

Excellent food, excellent service - very generous portions. Service staff were highly professional and approachable about menu options and friendly as well. My partner had the sirloin while I had the chicken parmigiana and desserts (mars bar cheese cake and crème brûlée were delicious also. Definitely recommend for a relaxed dining experience with delicious food
