Pretty grim skiing conditions - whiteout with lens freezing snow. 8 of us sat down for lunch inside (luxury). The menu was very good and the prices reasonable. Portion sizes made sharing the sensible option. The only downside was the waitress (lovely lady) who brought our order in drubs and drabs, and didnât quite have the customer balance quiz the right. That was a minor negative and definitely recommended as a food stop.

What I can say is that the food they offer certainly exceeds your expectations when you look at the place outside. We particularly loved beef tartar and burger; the desserts were absolutely fantastic, too. You get a lot of very good and beautiful food for the money you pay, and you can enjoy it on the terrace overlooking the river. Would definitely stop by there again!

Dropped in here a couple of times in the past week for lunch, drinks and so on as one of our party was a beginner. Despite the big Carte Bleu sign on the door as you enter the bar ONLY takes cash. You're not allowed upstairs by some moron member of staff if you have only bought your drinks: you need to buy your food AND your drinks before you are allowed to go up there. The food is terrible, queue moves very slowly and they are operating under the belief that most people have no choice. This is a bad business model. There are some wonderful restaurants on the mountains here: if you can ski out of the debutantes area, go find one of the others and don't spend any money here. In a worst case scenario go back down the lift and eat at Tiffany's/Dear Stevescnt, thank you for your constructive reward.We are sorry to read that your stay in our restaurant was not up to your expectations. During winter, it's sometimes quiet difficult to manage all the skiers, we are trying to do a turn over between the people who have plate to eat and the one waiting. That's why, we cannot give you a seat before you choose your food. It's better to come before or after the 12:00 am lunch time. Stopped in here for a drink one night - the music was good, but there was not much atmosphere and not much choice - none of the lovely hot wine / apple juice on offer elsewhere, very little by way of minerals and nothing at all to eat (no crisps, nuts, nothing). Would go to l'apres ski or the brasserie on the square rather than here.

This eatery was taken over by new management last season, and the change is really welcome. They are young, enthususiastic and fun.La Gamelle is situated at Samoens 1600, just by the top of the Vercland egg lift. Most of the seating is outside so it is somewhat affected by the weather. The seating inside is very limited. They offer the best value for money snacks at the resort and their vin chaud is the best we have ever had!!

Spent a few days based in Samoens and visited Coveys frequently! The owners Shane & Bunty run a fantastic pub supported by the excellent bar staff especially L1 and L2! We ate the famous burgers one night which were excellent and the Guinness is really good! Watch out for those shots though - have a habit of creeping up on you! Hope to return one day!

This place is friendly and efficient: order at the til downstairs, carry your beers upstairs and the food arrives very soon thereafter. Great selection of burgers and toppings: our favourite was the mexicana. Very good, eapecially after a nogjt on the beer. They were extremely welcoming. Thanks guys!!

Fantastic relaxed dining with great food. Lovely attentive staff, smashing wine list. Canât recommend eating here highly enough, great place to go with family and friends to enjoy good food. Try the ribs or the burger but they have options for veggies too ......... not the norm for french restaurants but this isnât your normal french restaurant.

February halfterm and the resort was heaving..yet every lunch time Tom and his team accommodated 14 of us. The service was impeccable and the food was always delicious! The staff especially Brian and Tom were always friendly, attentive and happy to enjoy a joke and chat with us! Will be back next year and most definitely will return..the best restaurant at the foot of the slopes! Thank you so much ! We are happy that our customers take time to leave a comment on this website !
