Reviews on Bar food in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States. The mere mention of Hawaii is enough to prompt visions of grass skirts and colorful cocktails with tiny umbrellas. While you will find some kitsch in Honolulu, you’ll also find art museums, bike paths, and some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Popular Waikiki Beach has soft sands and great surf. For majestic Oahu views scramble to the top of Diamond Head – a 350-acre volcanic crater. Historic structures like Iolani Palace and Ali'iolani Hale are worth a visit on a non-beach day.

Great place to eat in Waikiki. Really nice menu and the food was excellent. The wine List is fairly well thought out with some "comfortable" choices along with enough unusual wines to keep it interesting. Live entertainment was a nice touch without being obtrusive. Highly recommend this place.

Designed around its breathtaking view of Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head, 53 By The Sea offers you the opportunity to experience Hawaii dining like never before. We incorporate fresh local ingredients with succulent seafoods and the finest hand-cut meats.
The highlight of this restaurant is the location overlooking the coastline of Waikiki, along with a full moon. However, to access the building, the homeless quarters, along the roadside, could not be missed. Evidently, the homeless have taken residence in a rather large property in proximity to the restaurant, and the local authorities have been unable to resolve. The service at the bar was interesting, with the bartender Leo acting as the owned the establishment (we had read a previous review on Leo, and the lack of service was spot on. Why this restaurant is keeping this guy is a mystery. We were promptly shown to our table at the booking time, to a table requested by the window. The hostess, waiter, and maître de were all very attentive and pleasant. The two-seated lounge overlooking Waikiki coastline was uncomfortable. If we were to do it again, we would opt for the banquettes behind these tables. Now for the food, it was average at best. My wife had the surf and turf (with Crab, represented to be fresh Alaskan), where it was painfully obvious the crab had been frozen, and very dry. The meat was excellent. I had the lobster sticks (average), the Caesars salad (poor, adding kale?), and the fish of the day (no taste). So at best, we could rate the food as average. The live music was a plus, and appreciated, although the performer could only be seen from the bar. Summary: If you want a romantic setting, or out to impress, this is a good spot. But donât go there for the food, since there are much better options.

Hula Grill is located in the Outrigger Resort right on Waikiki beach in Honolulu. We parked at Ohana East which is several blocks away but an easy walk and the restaurant validated parking there. At $6 for 4 hours it is about as good a deal as you will find in this area of Oahu and also gives us time to do other things than just eat. After walking along the beach we entered through Dukes restaurant which is on the ground floor of the resort and was completely packed with people waiting in the lobby for tables. Hula Grill on the second floor was quite the contrast and seemed almost deserted in comparison and we were able to be seated immediately.Portion sizes are fairly large and our food was good. There is a childrenâs menu which features breakfast and lunch/dinner food options. One of the biggest reasons we came is for Hula Pie and it didnât disappoint. The service was slower than I prefer but everyone we encountered was extremely friendly. We had a great lunch at Hula Grill and would definitely return.

Farm to table American cooking with locally sourced ingredients, daily specials & a menu reflecting the best of Hawai'i's ranchers, farmers and fishermen just minutes from Waikiki. Our craft bar with hand cut ice and over 100 whiskies, barrel aged gins an
Nice restaurant with a good menu. I had the ginger, tarragon, whole grain mustard-marinated chicken breast, with sautéed baby spinach and mash potatoes, which was excellent. Dana had the nicely presented Opah, which was the fish special of the night. We shared a delicious bread pudding with risotto cheesecake for dessert. Nice atmosphere, good service, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.

Spent a nice evening at this old fashionex tiki bar on Sand Island in Honolulu Harbor. It's been around for decades and is a great spot to eat, drink, and imagine you're on the set of (the original!) Hawai'i 5-0.I had ahi spring rolls, made with Okinawan sweet potato, and a spicy dipping sauce. Very flavorful. The garlic fries were piping hot and tasty. What better to wash it all down with than a mai tai?A local band played nice Hawaiian music. This place may be hard to find but it's worth the trek if tiki is your thing .

We went here on a Tuesday and were very pleased to see that they have a $5 pint special every Tuesday from 6:30-10:30 p.m. They have over a hundred beers on tap - both local craft beers, domestic, and international. I tried a Maui Pineapple Wheat and a Lilikoi Cider. Both were delicious. We also ordered food, and everything was delicious!! We started with boneless buffalo wings (amazing), my husband ordered the vampire-style tacos (he raved around them), and I ordered lumpia (the creamy soy-sesame sauce was fantastic). Our server, Kai, was very attentive and knowledgeable. Overall, everything was great. My daughter (10 years) was with us and it was very family friendly. We only have a couple more days here in Honolulu but ready plan to go back. If you want great food and drinks in a casual atmosphere, this is the perfect place! Even if you don't drink beer, they have a full drink menu of drinks. But if you do drink beer and like to try new ones, you must check it out!

Huuuge portions. Highly recommend the sizzling ribeye (thanks to a special bartender at the Hopaka location), the spicy garlic chicken, and garlic edamame (cuz there's no such thing as too much garlic for me!).Hopaka location has excellent wait and bar staff--very friendly, efficient, and so much Aloha. Kapahulu location is excellent as well--terrific staff. I just can't get enough of this place and usually eat here 3 or 4 times each vacation.

We went to Livestock on the advise of a friend and were not disappointed. The food was great with a wide selection (they were, unfortunately out of steak tartar, which had been highly suggested) and huge portions. Service was excellent even though the place was packed. Save room for dessert! Everything we tried (and shared) was fantastic!

Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar is located in the heart of Waikiki on the corner of Kalakaua Avenue and Beachwalk. This scenic location features a second- story dining room, as well as a third- story rooftop bar with a beach-inspired cocktail area complete
My husband had the coffee crusted ribeye and the flavor was great. We also had the marlin and crab cake and It was excellent too. Portions were generous. I just gave them a very good, because my daughter ordered the filet mignon salad, the meat and the grilled potatoes were cold and meant to be cold, which in my opinion ruined the dish. Pricy restaurant, most dishes were over $30

We ate dinner at Uncle Bo's at the recommendation of one of the employees at our hotel. We discovered that this restaurant is well known and loved by locals. The restaurant is not large, and has a casual feel synonymous with Hawaii. The music played on the sound system was 80's rock and roll, which we enjoyed. The service was prompt. The food was *outstanding*. We shared two appetizers, crab cakes and dynamite shrimp. Both were truly tasty. We noticed two other customers had ordered salads, and the salads were huge. The couple next to us got fried ice cream as a desert and they loved it. When we return to Honolulu, we will definitely go to Uncle Bo's again. This restaurant has food that is as good or better than many higher priced alternatives.
