On a late Saturday afternoon you expect a non reservation place to be awkward. Not here. It feels local, comfortable in its benches, autographed walls and bar. Family oriented and charming. Truly delicious Louisiana seafood. Dishes range from familiar to etoufee to crab legs and spicy mudbugs with gloves lol. Do not wear a whte shirt... Fat raw oysters, plenty of choices and redfish, kids' portions and enough to take away. Team these with a smiling staff and you are a happy customer. Near i20cand 360, accessible to everywhere.

We used to get dinner from J. Gilligan's at least once a month. Quite often I'd pick it up and bring it home. Our staples were Chad's Chicken Salad, Irish Nachos and the Best Dressed Chest in the West. I'm really not sure why we stopped. We did move a few miles further away but it wasn't for any reason in particular that I can recall that we stopped.This week, I had a meeting to attend there so I took the opportunity to eat dinner and wondered if it would be as good as I remembered. I had a Chad's Chicken Salad and, it was delicious. Fresh ingredients, tender chicken and great dressing. I think it's homemade but, if it's not, it sure isn't anything I've come across in the store!The food was still great, the servers were very nice and attentive and the prices are still reasonable. I need to come back more often!

I went here with my mother ,ordered pizza.It was terrible,the crust was not done and the rest was sparse,little cheese and pepperoni, The dessert was old with a refrigerator taste, I got cheesecake, mom got macadamia nut cooke with ice cream and chocolate in a small skillet Hi Anthony,Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience. Donât come here, should have known better from the start my wife and I waited by the front door about 8 minutes just to see the person was helping someone upstairs... got seated and ordered a margarita pizza (got it wrong). Visited twice whilst staying at Best Western Irving either side of my holiday. The fried chicken salad with thousand island sauce on the first trip was divine! Jet lagged and eating at what the body thought was 3am this salad was perfect - light enough you didnât feel over full and enough that you went to bed satisfied. Second trip felt up to the rack of ribs and it didnât disappoint. First visit we were a huge group and the gentleman looking after us was fabulous! With 15 orders we expected some wait but it wasnât too bad. Look forward to coming again when Iâm next in the area.Thank you Amy for dining with us, we appreciate your kind words and look forward to seeing you again next time!

I recently visited this place while staying next door at the Hilton. I recommend this restaurant for individuals or families. If trying to have a business dinner it could be a bit noisy.
