Donnieâs Homespun Pizza is decent, but nothing spectacular. The thin crust pizza is thin enough to see through. The sauce is average and lacks zest. Multiple toppings are available and justifiably so, in order to cover up this sub-par pizza. Donnieâs doesnât cut their pizza like a pie, but rather into ridiculous little squares. No one has told the proprietor that itâs called pizza pie, not pizza squares. The highlight for Donnieâs is a nice variety of craft beers, bottled and draught. Prices are average for Decatur, IL and the Oakwood Avenue community. Service is slow and awkward. This is a try it once and be done with it establishment.

Old type Irish Pub. Place used to be a bowling alley 50 years ago.Friendly people with cheerful service. Ok food. Not great, but acceptable. Never had bad food here, but I'd go elsewhere if my friends didn't choose this place.Better option for food and atmosphere I'm my opinion.

Great location overlooking the lake.reasonable drink prices!had dinner on friday evening, slight wait but not too long.had lobster mac & pretzel chicken.also ordered salad, which was delivered WITH meal, rather than before as is customary.Food was good, nothing special. Generous portions.Service was so-so. Server was friendly, but not very attentive, same held true for bar staff.Came back Saturday for drinks only, and found similar slow in attentive service.Potential to be a super-fantastic place... with only a few caring changes.

My girlfriend lives right around the corner from this place. We fancied a drink one night, and since it's right around the corner, we thought we'd give it a try!So, this is your pretty standard Midwestern bar, albeit with more games machines than usual (which wasn't entirely unexpected, given the place's name). There was absolutely no obligation or expectation that we would play the games, however, and the other patrons in the bar were only having drinks. The bar area is a decent size and has both bar stools and booths, the decor is quite tasteful (although it looks a bit seedy from the outside!) and the sole member of staff was very friendly. Prices were pretty reasonable, and the beer selection was decent, too. Food is served (although we didn't eat here), and there's also a drive-thru section selling tobacco and liquor, if that's your kind of thing.If you're in the area and fancy a drink, give it a shot! I'd definitely return.

I'm a pilot, rely on TA for a lot of places I eat, decided to given Benny's a try and glad I did! It doesn't look like much when you pull in, but the inside is clean and friendly, and bacon cheeseburger was even better! I will be eating here again when I am in town!

My first visit (and definitely not my last) was very pleasant. Certainly specialize in burgers, but did have several other choices on the menu. I had a Philly style burger that was excellent. Their fries are home-cut style - just a tad spicy for me, but I did not hesitate to eat them all!Do note, they are open for breakfast and supper hours, not lunch.Hi, Steve thank you for taking the time to give us a great review. Burger theory actually has over 4500 hundred different ways you can customize your burgers,chicken,& fish . Burger Theory prides itself in giving the customers a great selection to choose from like are chicken pesto flatbread , build your own pizza, to are bone-in Hot wings .We also now have a breakfast buffet for $9.99 monday- friday starting at 6:00am-10:00am daily or you can build your own breakfast with our many choices of meats ,eggs ,potatoes. If you've been to any BWW before, you sort of know what to expect from the food. Good, cheap bar food (wings and other fried foods), with a large assortment of beers. The question is always what kind of service will you good. I'm happy to report that the service was of a high quality and the food came out very quickly. A special shout out to our bartender/server Courtney!

Stopped to grab a bite to eat at Cheddarâs while in Decatur. The restaurant was conveniently located on the north side of town off I-74. The menu was nicely varied though not extensive. The Burger I had was cooked just as I had requested and was very good. The staff was courteous and the prices reasonable. All in all, if youâre looking for a bite to eat in the Decatur area, give Cheddarâs a try.
