We had some lunch there. Given the spree of poor publicity, one expected better. Service was average, nothing spectacular. One member of the group specifically said he did not want onion rings but it was till on the plate. The boiled potato came with nothing. He ad to ask for butter. Galaxy is part of the Bloemfontein experience as nappies are to babies. This awesome place started out in the 90's I think and is still rolling with great great great food, very good prices, a great vibe, something you only experience in pubs close to the sea. Maybe not the safest place in Bloem anymore, but you can watch your car all the time and be close to it. All food are great, pizza absolutely the best. Beer on tap!

Not very impressed with the Stoep which seems to be the local attraction for school kids and varsity students. Too many young and drunk people, loud music and slow service. Lots of parking though if you don't mind to walk across the street. Do not feel save in the area.

Restaurant has a pub-like atmosphere. Definitely not fine dining. Typical Afrikaner dishes on the menu. Would be good venue for the boys to have a beer out while watching sports on the TV channels.

Poor overall service, the waiter did not offer any drink refills, and was eager to clear the table asap even though the place was empty, most food options are overpriced, except for a few salads, the food is really only junk. We had dinner at this restaurant while on our way to Cape town and i was pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent(very friendly and fast) and the food was done just right(the way you like it). The steak i had was soft juicy and done to perfection and they even flambeaud it at the table. I also liked the decor and the atmosphere is very relaxed and it makes for a good "kuier". The price is average and you get what you pay for. They have specials for everyday of the week and they even do the occasional takeaway. I liked it and in my opinion the best steakhouse so far.
