This is restaurant with relaxing and lovely atmosphere. Food was very good, steak perfectly done and fish & shrimp stew was great.Very good dessert, good choice of wine, service professional, good value for money. Recommended!

I got the steak 250g with kartoffel, bacon and green salad...so, the steak, medium rare, was perfect and maybe the best that I had here in Austria!Half liter of nice red wine from Italy, a GOOD espresso (i'm italian), for 29 euro. Legit.

Worth a visit for the restaurant ( which is in the confines of the castle) and the view from the terrace. Vultures and Eagles on display ( for an extra charge). Castle is a ruin - not much to see but spectacular location. Lunch was pleasant and restaurant staff very friendly.Plenty of parking but not very much close to the entrance of the castle, so for most people it will require a bit of a hike up the hill. There is some handicapped parking at the entrance to the castle. Badly let down by the officious battle-axe in the souvenir shop but I guess it must be a very soul- destroying job trying to sell plastic junk to uninterested tourists all day long. Her unsolicited torrent of abuse at my daughter who was merely looking at the cheaply made toys on offer, infuriated me at first (I understand German). However, I guess she has to be pitied. She has cost the place the extra star I would gladly have given based on the restaurant experience. A secret hiding pace is an understatement. Kilometres up from Osiachersee, this is a magical little hut which offers fantastic local cuisine. All food is hand made of local ingredients and offer a limited menu yet amazing food. The variety of Kasenudln on offer is many and all are amazing. I took a local here who did not even know about it.

I have traveled in many countries and different atmospheres. I really enjoyed this upbeat and comfortable spot for the views of the beautiful lake and especially the warm welcome and chats with the wait staff and owners. They asked about our travels and offered great suggestions of spots with should see before we leave the area. The owners were around and checking on customers. Every dish we tried was delicious! Even one of the specials of fried liver and onions. The pizza was unique combinations and desserts were great too! It's a great pitstop on the way as you are touring through the area or if you decide to stay at the camp ground.

If you like a typical local bar and restaurant - this is the place! Good food, fair prices! The owners are also passionate bikers - so bikers will love the place! The newest specialty: weddings! They do an excellent job to make your wedding a nice one!

Don't let the approach through the car park put you off. You think it's going to be standard 'truckers' fare' but, my God, the chef cooks fresh and the schnitzel is superb. We walked in, decided to sit outside, had to real expectations but then you view the menu. No wipe-down plastic here: an expensively wrought and designed menu with a (thankfully short) range of varied dishes. So, no boil-in-a-bag and microwave here. We had the best meal in our 2-week trip through Germany, Austria and Italy. Get the house white, order any dish, get a side salad and enjoy. If you're staying in the area, don't eat in your hotel. If I could take this home with me, I would and eat there weekly - it's that good and a rather wonderful surprise on our first night after a long journey.

We have been now several times to this restaurant when we were in the area of lake Ossiach. It was always great, they serve delicious local food in excellent quality for a good value. The people are very friendly, too. Last but not least the view over lake Ossiach is just amazing. We will definitively eat there again.
