Booked for lunch on a friendâs recommendation. Beautiful traditional French cuisine with small variations based on local produce. All dishes were generous, beautifully presented and delicious. Good wine list with well informed advice from the owner. Friendly service and with tasteful simple decor. Canât wait to return. This place will be a fixture for all return visits.

Bringing Authentic Smoked Meats and Modern Australian BBQ to the South Coast. The Restaurant Depicts our Beautiful Australian Outback creating a relaxed bar and dining experience.
Visited here on our 1st night at the moorings next door almost and used their take away service, didn't have to wait long for our grilled fish and chips. only 10 minutes later ready to eat and the fish though grilled was dripping oil and so were the chips, I dried the oil with papertowel and then we ate our Fish and chips, just average, this experience didn't enthuse us to try the main restaurant.

Lovely Jorja served us - beware if you have an ample bottom or bad back then probably take away would be better. Seating is limited and uncomfortable. The pizza bases were very thin which was excellent. The base sauce on the Margherita was lacking in taste unfortunately - it needed to be richer and more flavourful. A bit too much cheese making it soggy in the middle. The pepperoni with mushrooms and roasted capsicum was nice but the mushrooms hadn't been cooked first and because there was a lot it made the pizza too wet as well. Same for the chicken vindaloo - bizarrely it wasn't spicy, our friend then asked for some chilli flakes. Can't really understand all the glowing reviews, it was okay however it could be a lot better. A tastier Napoli sauce, less cheese, less toppings (especially juicy ones) and some backs on the seats and stools would make a big improvement. Pricing was certainly reasonable. BYO is available - in fact they don't even make coffee so they say they can just concentrate on pizza and gelato. Had a small salad and it was very fresh and enjoyable - this served three easily. The gelato flavours advertised on the wall aren't all actually available - no matter - but if I couldn't have a coffee I didn't want dessert. Our friend tried the chocolate and tiramisu gelato and liked it. Next time I'll order without mushrooms (even though I like them) and I'll takeaway.

My friend and I decided to go out for dinner last night and try Bassein. We were not disappointed! The food is fresh, made with local ingredients and cooked to absolute perfection. Michelle was friendly and made us feel comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our night! We will definitely be returning and I would advise everyone else to visit Bassein ASAP!Thank you

Called in as a spur of the moment choice for lunch. We ordered smashed avocado bruschetta with smoked salmon. The meals came out in a timely fashion and was plentiful and delicious, I went to the bar for a glass of wine each and I was pleasantly surprised when the staff member let me taste the wine before selecting my purchase. Friendly staff, nice surroundings reasonable prices , would recommend.

Its a little pie shop located on the South Coast. It has indoor and outdoor seating. All products are hand made on the premises using quality local ingredients. We offer pies, sausage rolls, pasties and have vegetarian options available. Terrific locally
Was disappointed in the chunky steak pie. It was more gravy with next to no chunky steak. Not served hot enough but it tasted okay. The sausage rolls were the standout though. Very tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed them.

I love really good pies, I have sampled everywhere around Australia - and New Zealand. Leanne's homemade pies are the BEST ANYWHERE - hands down. Superb flaky pastry, steak with nice chunks and mince, tasty, superb!!. I cant resist one every time I pass through Mogo, and always get a couple for the road to enjoy in the next day or two.

A delightful cafe with indoor and outdoor seating serving very tasty food and delicious coffee. Child and pet friendly.
I had THE best chicken salad sandwich that I've ever bought. And I think it equalled, if not surpassed, my own! The bread was so fresh and the salad ingredients crisp and crunchy. Loved the grated beetroot as well. Hubby had the toasted avocado and smoked salmon sandwich which he too raved about. We will continue coming back!!

The Mariners Bistro is at the Mariners on the Waterfront Hotel in Orient Street Batemans Bay. The bistro has a wonderful outdoor seating area that overlooks the Clyde River as it enters the ocean. We went for a midweek lunch and there was plenty of seating available under large shady umbrellas. The view is great and the simple lunch menu offered some lovely meals - the squid was great. There are some vegan meal options. The lunch was value for money and the drinks are at affordable pub prices. Recommend this bistro for lunch when visiting Batemans Bay.
