We have eaten at the Coffee Barn a couple of times. The food has always been good and excellent value for money. Unfortunately most of the time they don't appear to be overly busy. They do seem to do better on evenings when they have live music.

Ambrosia Cafe-Bar-Foodstore

I've given this restaurant a good review before, the food is still very nice and good value but this time the service was definitely not. After enjoying lunch, we ordered coffee and I asked for chai tea, specifically requesting "black, with no milk" when it came, it was milky, I repeated that I'd asked for black so the waiter took it away only to return saying there's no milk we only put water in. I again refused it as it obviously has powdered milk in their chai mix. The waiter left without asking if I'd like anything else. Now to the real problem, when we went to pay, someone else ( manager? ) was at the register and demanded to know what was wrong with the chai and had his tin of chai tea at the register, it felt like he was waiting there to ambush me. We again went over the problem , him in a fairly aggressive manor, his final comment after I think he realised there is powdered milk in it, was " well YOU should check" I left ,stunned . Here's a tip, maybe YOU should check and know what's in the products you serve. A simple sorry, I didn't realise, would you like to order something else? And this would have been a great review, unfortunately, I rate this as the worst service I've had, ever.

This is definitely a Must Visit Venue, if not just for the food and service (which was impeccable), but also the ambience and architecture (rustic, warm and inviting). If you are anywhere near Cranbourne, get there! This is Melbourne CBD foodie quality restaurant /bar hidden away in the Suburbs. It is housed in a beautifully restored repurposed old Church/chapel. It does wonderfully slow smoked and char grilled meats to perfection as well as other menu items. The service was high quality and ambience was relaxing and warming. They even do live music there some nights during the week and lazy Sunday sessions in the summer. I will be definitely taking my family back there again and often. I am even going to invite all my extended family and friends there.

This restaurant excels on ambiance but hits the hip pocket. I would recommend the charcuterie platter but the prices were a bit high for the value of the cusine. Sides of potato chips are the only options. Dining for experience and slow enjoyment .

Sugar Buns Cafe Bakery

Visited sugar buns when it first opened and wasn’t disappointed. Sadly this time was pretty average. I was 9 months pregnant and was never bought water after I asked and the food was pretty terrible. It looks pretty but it lacks flavour and quality. It’s overpriced and I feel like you pay for the art work which lasts 2 seconds before you destroy it with a fork anyway. Won’t be going back. Sorry

Went for a family birthday dinner. Food was brought out together and was nice. Prices were expensive for a pub. Drink prices crazy, $35 for a $12 bottle of wine was excessive. Service good. Only issue is the price, nearly $200 for a family of 4.Hi thedovelqueen, we are delighted to hear you say you enjoyed the food and service on your visit. Yes price perception can be very subjective.Thank you for reviewing Kelly's.

Read reviews re this place and was looking forward to trying it out. Website advertised quick lunch menu. Ham cheese tomato sandwich toasted was doughy, totally unimaginative. Sweet potato fries soft and gooey.Pizza burned. Calamari about 10 pieces and the rest was rocket.A truly awful experience Never againI am in disbelieve reading this review, at least be true to yourself and tell the truth to the public. Our place that has won various accolades 2017,2018 & 2019 certificate of excellence Herald Sun awards for the quality of food, surely we could get 3/4 or even 2/4 but all seem in disbelieve.First of all we have been out of stock of sweet potatoes for over a month.Second you didn't order the Calamari, Pizza or Toastie as we are well known for that as its cooked in the wood fired. We are a family restaurant and both my wife and I served your table and when the meals were cleared, the plates were empty. The truth is that your table ordered 4 meals of our express lunch menu which non of the meals mentioned were on,with each meal having a variation to it and all adding 4 separate sides to which your were charged an extra $2.50 each, a total of $10 to your bill. When you saw the bill is when you complained about the food in the hope of getting a refund, such a low blow on your behalf to tarnish a 5 star rating establishment.I will leave it to the public to judge the truthiness of your review.
