Very new cafe style eating place that I doubt will last long against long established and stiff competition in the local area.Very austere furnishings inside, no liquor licence.Friendly staff with somewhat limited English skills.But, they are keen to please and time will tell ..........

If you love chicken this is the place for you. Great chicken, simple menu. Loved it. The setting is just back from the beach with a great relaxed atmosphere and fantastic view. Meals are inexpensive and the beer is cold.

Sick as a dog. 4 hours in emergency.Don't know what they werevtrying to pass off as Chicken. But it was not chicken. Don't know how much worse it could have been if I had eaten it all.Was fantastic when old owners were there. New owners . Bloody Terrible .Hi Steve,Firstly, we would like to apologise for your negative experience. The Redland Bay Council has done an inspection at our kitchen and restaurant since your complaint, and they have given all green lights and we have ticked all the boxes following the food safety standard, like we always do. P.s. The last inspection was done about 3 months ago, which is quite recent. Secondly, our food is prepared in bulk on the day. If it was something wrong with the food you consumed that night, every single customers who have had the chicken would have gotten sick. Seems a bit strange that you were the only one affected. Thirdly, it seems even stranger that you have mentioned the old owners... Do you happen to be friends with them? Are you affiliated with them in any ways? If you are, then I'm afraid your feedback cannot be as objective and unbias as it should be. Also, the consistent feedback we have received from the past 4 months since we bought the restaurant has been quite positive. We are sorry that you don't feel the same as the rest of our customers. Lastly, we offered a refund as your requested when you returned that day, without asking you to show any proof of evidence that you have been to the emergency room. We hope that had shown our generosity and sincere apology. Please excuse the owners' limited English, if that had made you feel like you were mistreated. Outdoor seating makes it very nice on a balmy Queensland evening. Food was variable; satay chicken was excellent as was the choo Chee sauce but the prawns in it were not fresh and overcooked.Service was stretched on a busy midweek night with many Christmas get-togethers, but the kitchen coped well.BYO and licensed with limited wine list. Pricing is reasonable.

Our family has been eating both inhouse and takeaway for years. It has had it's ups and downs and currently it's definately worth a visit.All tables were full of happy patrons and it smelt of spicy fragrances.The coconut chili jam chicken curry paired with coconut rice was hot and delicious.The honey sesame chicken was crispy and was my son's favourite.

confused about the name?, i am . The RBO closed & the new name outside is HAOZ. Glad you are back Andy So for Haoz, we had a superb meal, couldnt fault it. Beef was so tender. I ordered hot & it did pack a punch. We didnt order starters, the main was quite sufficient. Our friends who have also been there are of the same opinion. Great value as well about $30 a head including a beer

We only had two courses both of which were very good. First course was the ubiquitous Miso soup. This was absolutely delicious and was served piping hot.Second was the steak and the vegetables. This is where the theatrics came in. The food was expertly cut up, tossed around with the chef doing the usual of catching the salt and pepper shakers in his hat; very entertaining.The area this restaurant is in is harbour side so we decided to go out and have coffee and ice cream elsewhere.The cost was relatively expensive for the food but this restaurant has the added attraction of the theatrics.We found it was hard to make conversation because of the noise of the theatrics and the fact that the acoustics are poor, there being lots of glass windows, floor tiles and stainless steel cooking tops and surrounds. There were virtually no soft furnishings to deaden the sound.

You can't go wrong at Thai Tamarind - delicious Thai food, fresh ingredients, prompt and friendly service and generous serves. Their satay sticks are a particular favourite. We had the mixed entree, beef Penang and chicken cashew nut stir fry and all were yummy. Would love it if this place was BYO.
