This place is a pleasant surprise just a few blocks from my home. They have replaced an Empanada place which we used to frequent. The food is very good. Not much grease so its definitely a healthy option. We tried the dumplings, bulgogi burrito, bap (chicken and beef) and miso soup. I especially love the red rice since it is lighter than regular white rice. The owner (Kate) is very accommodative and friendly. This is a great option in the neighborhood - the first of its kind and a great option if you want to avoid Chinese takeout

The space and service was great. The food though was average... overall lacking in flavor. We were there as part of a large party and the space and service they gave us was very nice. I haven't even gotten a chance to delve into the ramen section or hot pot section of the menu as I tend to come here solely for the tapas! Entire wait staff as well as the chef is Japanese. Big points in my book. I usually sit at the bar on the corner to see all of the "Action" behind the grill. Many favorites here. Both the Soft Shell Crab salad and Smoked Duck and Avocado salads are amazing. The carrot-ginger dressing is handmade and delicious! The #1 thing I come for is the Eihire - Dried Ray. This is a dried, then grilled piece of skate wing. Accompanied by a dab of Kewpie mayo. It's to die for. And a great munchie to compliment a few brewskis. Other must haves include Shishamo fish - grilled. Maine Uni Sashimi. Magret grilled Duck breast, Berkshire Pork Belly, Red Ebi, Momo, Kawa and a surprise to me - Japanese Pork Sausage. Limited parking in the back. Open later than most spots in Bergen County! Closed mondays. Things look cheap at first, but next thing you know, you're 6 dishes deep and things add up! You've been forewarned! haha Enjoy!

Stopped by for dinner on a Saturday night. We arrived before 7 pm and within twenty minutes the entire place was packed. It seems like reservations are the smart way to go on weekends since the restaurant is on the smaller side.Food and service were exceptional. Dessert was a satisfying surprise (try the red bean ice cream), and prices were very affordable. Décor really adds up to a calming dining experience. Plenty of street parking in the area. Very recommended, will definitely return.

Came here with friends. First Thai restaurant in Bergen County. Very nice atmosphere. A lot of seating too. We had Pad Thai. Very good but seemed a little oily. We also had the massaman curry which was flavorful and plentiful. It was really good. Friends had a beef in gravy dish that they loved. Slices of beef that were tender. The service was great. Four dishes with tax and tip was $80. Tip: Parking is street parking with meters. Tip: takes reservations.
