Visited for lunch as before. The ambiance was good as always. Cool for an extremely warm afternoon. The stewards were not very proactive and were not suggestive despite us asking. The quality of the Goan curry and squids had definately to be better. The mussels were fresh and tasty. Do hope they are able to get the food taste back to how its always was.

A nice atmosphere in the restaurant and pleasant friendly staff. The main negative for me were the chairs. They are too straight and when you sit in them I had a tendency to lean forward. Okay for a meal but I could not sit there for a longer drink or to relax. We had several meals in this bar and the food overall was ok. Nothing outstanding but nothing bad. My lasting memory of this place was a really nice prawn cocktail starter. Took me right back to the 70s. Also enjoyed their chicken tandoori.

Visited the qbar a couple of times during our trip and the food was very good in particular the chicken tandoori. Many shacks adjacent look nice but the food is on the basic side. Constant harassment by a member of staff about looking in his shop for jewellery put us off going in more. Shame because it was a lovely shack then the harassment continues in the evening when you walk past the shop. We understand they need business but understand when told we are not interested to keep up the constant pressure.

We visited The Goan Village on two of the nights during our recent holiday to Cavelossim, and we have to say these were probably our favourite meals of our stay.The Goan Village is a lovely restaurant in a gorgeous setting.The food is superb, really tasty, and great value. Some of our favourite dishes and our child's dishes were from The Goan Village.The staff were really helpful, chatty, and always kept our glasses full.We did not have to book tables on either occasion we attended, but I would suggest booking if you were attending during a busier season. This is clearly a popular and well regarded venue by newcomers to Cavelossim and those who are considered regulars.The only negatives were that the entertainment can be a bit hit and miss, and a bit loud, so if you want a quieter meal maybe sit close to the entrance.And the cocktails are not a patch on many of the other local eateries and are slightly more expensive than most.We enjoyed all our meals on both occasions, and hope to visit again when we are next in the area.

Excellent food with a prompt service, overall great experience. Restraunt is just opposite to Novotel in south Goa. Donât usually opt for restaurants with live music but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the band and the range of songs they covered. Food was delicious and the tikka squid was particularly good as was the vegetable birrianni. Grilled king fish was also a hit . Good service with welcoming staff . Kinara is great and we go there a lot for the food but it is right on a main road and its always busy.The staff are very good though and the wait is never long. Dont go for the atmosphere -go for the food.

Visited this place on a warm October afternoon with my family and one another. Had visited this place purely basis it's reputation and unlike a lot of other places, the Fisherman's Wharf does justice to itself. Everything we ordered was just perfect in terms of both quality and quantity. On top of it the service was quick and the staff pretty friendly.We tied the following:1. Chicken Mexicano2. Drums of Heaven3. Chicken Munchow Soup4. Chicken Wanton Soup5. Chicken Cafreal6. Goan Sanna (Rice Cake)7. Mocktail - Midnight in Movie, No Ice Drink and Monkeyboy CosmosThe best part is that the food doesn't burn a hole in the pocket. We paid less than 4K for all this and the rotis. We have been touring India for two months and loved every minute. However we have struggled to find a great coffee until our arrival at Octima. What a find! Excellent breakfast (and service and food in general) but man the coffee is outstanding. Congrats Team Octima. Youâve made two kiwis very happy.
