Cuenca is one of the five provinces of the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha. It is located in the eastern part of this autonomous community and cover over 17.141 square km. It has a population of 203.841 inhabitants- the less populated of its autonomous community. Its capital city is Cuenca and the province is compounded of 238 municipalities.

The first skyscraper in history, of medieval origin. Original construction on the precipice settled with 13 or 14 floors facade and four or five on the other.

We visited the monastery together with Segobriga and the town of Ucles. One can tell the monastery was a very important one. The main entrance is incredibly well ornamentated and the building is impressive. I recommend the audioguide.

The Church of El Salvador was built in the eighteenth century over another, the thirteenth century and continued to have renovations and expansions , between those dates and later, to be the main temple of the city of Cuenca in the nineteenth century.
