Palazzo Reale

Many people who visit aren’t familiar with the rich and diverse history of Naples, you can learn a lot about it just from the outside walls of the royal palace, for example there is a display of statues at the entrance facing piazza del Plebiscito, that depict each of the kings of Naples, the crazy thing being none of them came from the same place, they came from all different corners of the world and brought with them extensive culture and tribes that contribute to Naples’ diverse and unique culture. Palazzo dello Spagnolo

Reviewed By KatrinaMolini - Corciano, Italy

Palazzo dello Spagnolo was erected in 1738. The top floor was added at the end of the 18th century. This building was built after another famous palazzo - Palazzo Sanfelice and, for some reason, it’s in a much better state. I loved the pale green color of the facade and staircases with arches and all the details. You can walk freely there - there is no security. Like the other palazzo, it has also been used in many movies. Definitely worth a stop if you are strolling Rione Sanità.

Chiesa e Chiostro di San Gregorio Armeno

Reviewed By StephenCr0ss - Dublin, Ireland

Very ornate church and you would not think that from the lobby. Guarded by the Nun’s and not allowed to enter unless your shoulders are covered up (this always surprises me in hot climates and guess God would probably forgive you!). Once inside it is stunning!
