Party of 6 Sunday afternoon. 2 other tables in the dining room and service was horrible, waitress was slow and forgetful. Onion Rings were very good. Chicken sandwich and chicken was tuff. Burrito was to spicy. Salsa no flavor. Steak on sandwich good roll chewy. Stuffed clams to much breading. Poppers ok. Vodka pasta with chicken good. Being from Florida we don't pay for soda refills so was suprised to pay $12 for 3 people to have soda it would have been nice if the waitress told us. Glad we only visit twice a year. Will never go here again.

Great to have an option late on Frfday and Saturday night...the pancakes are huge and very tasty...they call them "hubcaps". My bacon was cooked to order...well done and crisp (not burnt). They have dinner specials during the week....$8.95....looking forward to going back...this diner has changed hands so many times over the years..the owner (a nice guy named Joe) really cleaned up this place....it is no longer a greasy spoon...I hope he is successful...staff is very nice and attentive....well done....great for people driving through and the food is much better here than at the Queen.....I've been here several times...everything has always been delicious...

Sit N' Chat Dinner

After touring growing up places around Sussex County New Jersey, we decided to stop at the Sit N chat Diner on Route 23. The friendly people were quick to seat us and bring us our Iced Teas and Coke soft drinks. To eat we tried the appetizer spinach and artichoke dip with chips and also The BLT! The BLT was good and came with a side of fries. Onions were a nice touch. The spinach artichoke dip was a bit unusual and that the spinach was long and stringy and the artichoke was in chunks. The dip was kind of loose consistency. It was good just different! The menu itself was very large and offered a number of options including specials for dinner which were on a separate page. The waitress is very friendly and attentive. Pay at the door on your way out. Bathrooms were clean and suitable for ladies reading this review. Oh no I would say it's a good place to stop on your way through Sussex. If you pass it check it out .

I really wasn't expecting much, it's main attraction was it's proximity to Old Lafayette Village, a quaint shopping area nearby. But I ordered the Cobb salad and it arrived WITHOUT chicken. I asked the waitress where the chicken was, and she replied, you could add grilled chicken on. I looked at her, perplexed, but realized my beef was with the cook, not her. She asked if I wanted chicken, and I, still stunned, said Yes! It came quickly, but I thought I'd entered the twilight zone somehow. I checked my phone to see if the planets had shifted and I was wrong about the BASIC ingrédients for a cobb salad, but no, every authority on the topic seemed to know that chicken was what the Cobb salad was built on, not an "option" but "core" to the whole Cobb experience. I gave one last stab at righting their ship as I paid the bill, telling the cashier I wanted the "chef" to know that chicken is PART of a cobb salad, to which she replied, you can add chicken, it's an option on the menu. Brother!!!

Server took our food order at 10:50AM and served us coffee... We had two orders .One was ordered scrambled eggs with bacon and an omelet. The server came with a second cup of coffee and did not see her again until 11:30...Thinking how could it take 40 minutes with our small order. Friend got up to find our server and she said we were next for food...OMG we were ready to leave and go somewhere else..The food was good but the service was really bad. Our server never came back to check on us at all and this was just a small breakfast...We might go back and try again but not sure...

We ate here one night when we were in town for an event at Mountain Creek. We arrived at 6 pm on a Friday night and were seated and served promptly. We enjoyed soup as an appetizer. My husband had a huge steak and took half of it home. I got stuffed shrimp which was also good. By 7 pm the place was packed. We ate in the dining room but you could also sit in the bar area. We enjoyed our dinner here.
