The place seems popular and has a diverse food menu. The salads and sirloin tips are pretty good. Depending on the bartender, your drink are hit or miss, but hte atmosphere was pretty good. If you drive, they validate parking as well.

We love Thomas Keller...Per Se and French Laundry are two of our favorite past dining spots. We are excited that Thomas is now represented in Miami Beach with The Surf Club Restaurant...we had high hopes for this place, but the entire experience of eating falls short for us. My wife and I arrived at the bar a short time before our dinner reservation...we sipped champagne, listened to the jazz combo in the corner, and listened to the rambunctious patrons who rolled in and out. We then headed to our table...a corner set up with a big pillow between us to rest our arms on--interesting. The staff began approaching us and the experience became a tad uneven--various wait people attempted humor that fell flat...not necessary in a Keller joint, really. We ordered our grub...it started arriving--everything is very good...crudite, oysters rockefeller--somewhat flavorless, dover sole--my wife's favorite in all of Miami Beach, and the lasagne--rich and soothing. All of this food is good, the main problem is that the piped-in music plays too loudly...and the selections are horrible for fine dining: Springsteen, Billy Joel, etc. played too loudly...I don't wanna hear Max Weinberg's snare drum banging in my head while I am gobbling great grub and chatting with my wife...please remove the music, if anyone of authority reads this. Plus, the decor of the restaurant is pillows, large leaf prints, and stuff...visually and audibly confusing place. But the food is good...plus, our sommelier person was outstanding...she did her best to turn the music down but was overruled at some point. Ah well...eat here ONCE...then move on to cozier locales. Cheers!

After a coast-to-coast flight, got to Miami Beach and decided to have breakfast here. It was a bit before 7AM, not super early. Asked for various omelettes before understanding that they all contained bacon, at the moment not available. Ordered a steak omelette, asked for coffee, and went off to wash the public transport off my hands.Well-me-now, no soap in the dispenser in the restroom. I told a fellow counting money nearby, and he told me to talk to another fellow who referred it to another fellow, who went away for a couple of minutes and told me to get some from the unoccupied ladies' room. I considered checking to see whether it was re-filled during the time I was there, but really didn't want to know.Had to ask for coffee for a second time. Noticed then that the table top felt as if a jar of syrup had been spilled on it and cleaned off with dry paper towels. Just when I was starting to feel that the server was rather unattentive, the food came. It was good, and she brought me anything I asked for--a re-fill of water, another napkin--but it was a little tiresome to always have to ask. When the check came and I left my credit card out, it sat there for awhile until I decided to just pay at the cashier. They told me I had to wait for the server, and it seemed strange that I had to be borderline rude to get them to take my money so I could leave. That guy counting money at the table soon won't have much of it to count with this sort of monkey business going on.

Let me start by saying that the rooms are beautiful, the folks in the restaurant, pools and beach are nice. BUT, the front desk and management are 100% inept. First our keys didn’t work, then when we did get into the room, it was not the right room. We were given the wrong room with less beds than we reserved as they claimed there were no more of the room we ordered available. After much arguing, they added a second room so we could actually sleep. To top it all off, we had extra charges in the bill. And for the final sendoff, the keys were shut off well before check out and it took multiple trips to the inept front desk to get it to work. Only stay here if you have the patience to deal with an awful front desk staff and management who make you feel like they are doing you a favor but giving you less than what you paid for.

My family (5 in total) dined here on Friday 9th August around 6 pm. Flanigan’s is the most popular ‘Dining Out’ venue in this area, does not take reservations.Service is helpful, although some junior staff are inexperienced. The dining area is large, spread across 3 areas, with sports screens all around. Nice atmosphere and not too loud.We enjoyed the huge tray of nachos and onion rings to start ... 2 appetisers are more than enough !! Both were very enjoyable !!We mainly ordered a half-rack of baby rack ribs with either 6 shrimps / chickenwings. These came with fries, BBQ sauce and small portion of coleslaw. The ribs are the House Speciality and are fantastic : meaty, tender, and tasty !!! The burger (10 oz !) is also excellent and great value at $ 9.99. Washed down by a couple of Cold Corona’s.Service helpful and wait time good. Good value too.Would dine here again and recommend.Only order an appetiser if you have a very large appetite !!!

Shuckers Waterfront Bar & Grill

Shuckers Waterfront Bar & Grill, Miami's favorite waterfront grill, is ideally situated on the island of North Bay Village, off of 79th Street Causeway in the heart of Biscayne Bay between Miami and Miami beach. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.

We stayed at the Best Western Hotel for 6 night and had breakfast and dinners at Shuckers several times. We really enjoyed sitting out on the patio, having some appetizers and some drinks. The last evening, we had a full dinner. Kale and spinach salad, mussels and the deep fried red snapper. For dessert we had the key lime pie. Key lime pie was way too sweet. I suggest to cut the sugar content in half. The red snapper was awesome, nicely cooked and served with fresh vegetables on a bed of rice.
