Breen's makes the best turkey sandwiches of any deli around.I sometimes buy one for lunch at the Elizabeth Avenue location. Service is quick and friendly and they have a huge selection of other foods as well.

I and a companion had a nice dinner of cod tongues and pork scrunchions here -- the food was fresh and well cooked and the service was pleasant.

My husband and I have eaten there a couple times. We last visited Sat Feb 16 with our daughter and were disappointed.Seated quickly and waiter, Steve was great-he served us in the past. We booked to arrive at 5:45 wanting to avoid the Valentine's Rush however, I was really expecting the restaurant to have extra staff which turned out not be the case. Reserved a table on line and disappointed to be sat right next to the busy / loud kitchen. Things started out great but as the restaurant got more busy service slowed to a near crawl. Appetizer was great however, my meal was disappointing and barely warm. I did ask for it to be reheated and was much better. Portion size could be improved and paying $15.50 for a glass of wine is quite steep. Ordered coffee and desert and there was a long wait for the coffee however, if they are brewing fresh the wait is ok meanwhile, the desert was just dropped to the table by another server so quickly we never even got to ask for cutlery- again another wait for someone to come by. Observed the adjacent table to us that seemed to get preferential treatment- a man who appeared to be a manager visited the table at least 3 times to ask how things were. They must have pre ordered because they didn't wait for food. Such a shame he never took notice of the poor service other tables were receiving. Our server was very apologetic towards us.Eating out these days is a luxury so I'm sure the next time we decide to eat out we will reconsider Milestones.

In April 2019 my wife and I decided to visit Jack's restaurant and wrote an honest but scathing review and swore we would never go back. We received an invitation from Jackie Hill to revisit Jack's and today we did. We both had basically the same meal as we had on our last visit and to our surprise, the meal was very good and far removed from our first encounter of the disgusting kind.We do have a couple of suggestions, one, the servers should ask if we would like a cocktail as we were only offered tea or coffee, such as Tequila Sunrise, a Bloody Cesar as it would generate additional revenue and offer an additional service. One small criticism Toutons could have been better if crust had a crispy outer shell and center cooked a littl longer. As there was no drink menu on the table and the bar being closed we just presumed no alcoholic beverages available. Thank you, Jackie, and "WE WILL BE BACK"!Thank you for giving us another chance and for taking the time to review again. Although your first experience was not to our normal standards we are grateful you gave us the opportunity to make it better. We value every comment and suggestion put forth from our guests because it helps us improve and that is our ultimate goal, to continously provide a great experience. Thanks for the suggestions and we'll see you next time around!

We stopped in for lunch simply because it was convenient to the hotel we were staying at. Itâs connected to Sandman Signature. Our server was very disinterested and the food was lacklustre at best. The non-alcoholic beverages were pretty expensive...particularly when our server couldnât be bothered to offer refills when she saw empty glasses. She became friendly when it was time to pay the bills and give a tip. We wonât rush back.Hey BuckhornBaby, Thank you for taking the time to send in your review. We appreciate the feedback as it helps us learn and grow. We set a high standard for ourselves, so I was disappointed to hear you did not receive a proper Moxie's experience. I would love the opportunity to discuss your visit with us in greater detail in order to prevent this from happening again in the future. At your earliest convenience, could you kindly contact me via phone (709)701-0102 or email [email protected]. I look forward to hearing from you. Katie Prowse Service Manager Moxie's St.John's

Group of 8 of us came for dinner. Americans visiting Canada. This is the type restaurant and food we are accustomed to in the states. We all enjoyed our entrees good food, priced as expected, large menu with varied selections. Ribs, steaks, chicken, fish, salads etc. Good service and atmosphere. I was pleased to see several gluten free options on the menu as well. Hi, thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to hear about your recent experience with us. The menu is like others in the chain, such as in Toronto. Pretty good fare, something for everybody. We were here with a lunch party of seven, had a good table, and enjoyed ourselves. However, the service was incredibly slow -- it took well over an hour before we were able to find our server to encourage them to go get our food! It was not that busy, but the kitchen clearly was not up to the task this day.Once the food came, we were happy. And then the manager refused to let us pay anything for the meal -- he nicely claimed that was the restaurant's policy when the meal is not right for some reason. Of course we found a wy to tip our individual server anyway. We'll be back.

My Wife and I went here for dinner and I was surprised that we had to wait for a table as it was 6:45 PM on a Wednesday night. We did eventually get a table with a great view of the Coast Guard facility. I ordered a Caesar and my Wife had a glass of wine. I ordered an 8 oz top sirloin with a baked potato and my Wife ordered the 6 oz top sirloin with a twice baked potatoe. The service was good and the bill was $87.41 definitely more than the Vancouver Keg.

We didnât know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised to have a delicious authentic Italian dinner. The atmosphere is casual, but the food is as good as any fine dining. We shared an appetizer, and a special pasta each, and shared tiramisu for desert. Our only complaint is that we were over stuffed when we finished! The service was better than great and we will definitely be back.
