I don't usually write reviews on chain restaurants unless there is something special--good or bad--about the restaurant at a specific location. This Waffle House has GREAT coffee! The food and service were very good at breakfast, but the coffee was down right yummy.

We stopped in for lunch. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. I had the pastrami grinder. It was generous in size and very good. My husband got a chicken Parmesan grinder and he said it was tasty. He enjoyed the sauce and the quality of chicken was good. Everything appeared clean and well arranged. Parking is not a problem. We enjoyed our lunch and will stop back!

The tables on the right side, away from the bar, are quieter. There is even a little cubby for two. We had the club sandwich with potato salad on the side. All delicious. We also tried the buttercream cake and fried cheesecake for dessert. Servers are friendly and very attentive. Large servings so we got take out boxes. Will definitely stop by when in the area. Easy parking.

Our hamburgers were excellent. Hardee's definitely has the best hamburgers compared to similar hamburger chains. Their hamburgers are better than most sit down mid range restaurants. This location had a very friendly staff and a very clean environment. The location manage was personable and shrived to please us and everyone that came into the restaurant. We ordered the current special 1/3 lb Bacon 3way hamburgers and apple turnovers. We were very pleased with our selections..

Positive: location right across from the Community College and major highway.Negative: the food.But the server was so doggone friendly and helpful, that I decided to make a go of it. They really do take good care of customers.The food, however, was what you'd probably expect and that's too bad. Many hours after the meal, I began feeling better. I think I came to peace with the GMO's to which I'm unaccustomed. Those hash browns, for example, oy.But hey, the restaurant is convenient, they will feed you and the rest is up to your stomach.

Cool place that meets expectations for service, food quality and pricing in my book. Really enjoyed the atmosphere of the old warehouse, they did a great job turning it into a restaurant! Food was great and plenty of it! I had the grilled shrimp tacos and they were really good! Tried the first place in Forest City a few years ago, and this new place in Rutherfordton is worth your effort to try!

Granny's is not a "fancy" place but she has some of the best donuts I have ever tasted. You'll love them! Granny's is only open Wednesday through Saturday, so don't be disappointed by stopping by the days they are closed. I need to try one her subs. Next time.

We stopped by on a day trip to Rutherfordton after reading reviews here. The people were very nice, but the food was average at best. The shake was imitation flavored and the burger was full of fresh toppings but the meat itself was such low quality. This is a fine place for a casual stop, and once again, the people were so friendly. It just didn't meet our expectations.

My wife and I ate at Barley's last time we visited Rutherford County and my first TripAdvisor review (Nov., 2017) pretty much sums up our opinions about the place. We both had different dishes for dinner this time, primarily to see if we just happened to have chosen two dishes they specialize in, and I can report, they must specialize in the 4 dishes we have had, because we both were very well pleased with not only the food, but the presentation on the dishes as well. We really enjoy the food here, as well as the friendly people. Not just the staff, but the diners as well. My last review didn't mention the fact the restaurant has two seating areas. It seems to have been two stores, side by side at one time. They've got separate entries to the outside as well as a big door adjoining the two now. One side has plenty of seating, a long bar, a couple of quiet TV's and would have to be the quieter side of the two. The other also has a bar, 3 or more TVs, also muted, & pinball machines, maybe a pool table, and a bandstand in the back. Live bands on certain nights of the week, maybe. More family activity there, children's sounds included. Which is fine. We had two little kiddos once ourselves. Servings are delicious and large. You won't leave here hungry. We plan to be back the next time we're in the area.

If you are in Rutherford County, NC, this is the restaurant you need to eat lunch or dinner at if you like pulled-pork. The waitress was very friendly and very helpful with our order. She brought the drinks immediately. After a short break we received our pulled-pork BBQ sandwich with fries. You need to be hungry when you go because the portions are large. Will return soon.
