Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes creates an all-you-care-to-eat dining experience with a daily selection of made-from-scratch soups and salads and hand-crafted muffins, focaccia, breads and tasty desserts.
Sweet Tomatoes is a nice restaurant choice when traveling if you're looking for an alternative to the typical burgers, fries, high carb meals that seem to be all over the place these days. This location had a great selection at their salad & soup bars. The pasta & desserts were excellent as well. We went to this restaurant twice for dinner on our last trip to the Bay Area, and the only reason I'm giving it a 4 instead of a 5 rating is because they seemed to have a bit of difficulty keeping up with the cleaning of the tables....I think we got there right after the dinner rush, but nevertheless it didn't quite seem as clean as it probably should have been. We would definitely go back next time we're in the Bay Area.

Went here for to celebrate a couple of birthdays. Our server was Leonardo and he did a great job. All of our food tasted delicious. Prices were great. Very reasonable for 5 people. We would definitely recommend the Lazy dog. We will definitely be back.

We lived in Pleasant Hill for many years and moved away in 2004. We recently were driving by and stopped in. Itâs still the same, and thatâs a GOOD THING! Same delicious taste, same crunchy skin, and the same delightful staff. Try it and youâll be hooked,

After several visits over the last 3 years, my experience has consistently been great food and great service. I've had lunches and dinners here, with parties varying from 2 to 12. They have delicious food options and the service quality is always on point. They have yummy drink options too!

If you want a good vibe and some classic diner food, this is the place. It is almost always busy, with a friendly wait-staff. The omelets are very good, as are the traditional breakfasts. For lunch I particularly like the (small) tri-tip salad. There is inside and outside seating, and parking isn't too hard. The restaurant is within walking distance of Diablo Valley College and several buses pass close by. It is not within walking distance of a BART station.

Easy exit from the freeway and off street parking too. No need for typical fast food as you can find way more tasty choices. Look at big board menu outside or pick a line inside featuring the food you want. Salad, sandwich, entree lines are easy to spot. We had grilled albacore sandwich, soup and side of Mac and cheese. Everything was tasty and prepared as you like it.

Barbecue is what we do!
Try the early bird special before 6. Comes with brisket, just ok, chicken, very good and ribs, yummy. Includes 2 sides I recommend scallop potatoes be one of them. The bring three different breads, the cornbread is the best. They also offer salads and sandwiches.

Wenceâs Restaurant offers freshly prepared & artfully presented California cuisine. Small family owned business located in Pleasant Hill CA
I live 3,000 miles away, but visit every chance I get when I'm on the west coast. Tucked away in a non-descript Pleasant Hill strip center, this gem always delivers a noteworthy dining experience. Three of us were in for an early weeknight dinner, and enjoyed excellent service and food. Special handicap/mobility needs were graciously accommodated. The owners themselves work the restaurant and ensure every diner enjoys the meal. Not too many restaurants have a menu where I want to try everything on the menu!I enjoyed a specialty cocktail, the crab artichoke soup, shrimp scampi (best I've had anywhere), and shared tiramisu. Everything was delicious and well-prepared. Highly recommended.

Weâre here seven days a week. We want you to feel comfortable coming in any time. All of those days. For breakfast, lunch or dinner. We want to be the place you come to for an omelet and coffee before work, a cocktail and appetizers after, a quick bite fo
Jacks is part of Pleasant Hill. Ask anyone who lives here to meet at Jacks and not only do they know the place but they have been there and they like it.The menu is based a lot on Greek food but does have a lot of variety. The also recently opened an adjoining tap room where plenty of beers are available on tap. Not surprisingly, all of those beers are also available in the restaurant.

My husband had never been there and decided to check out their happy hour. The patio was pretty empty for a Friday happy hour. Their happy hour menu has quite a few poke or ceviche options, neither of which sounded appealing to us at the time. We ordered their calamari and a tempura shrimp roll. They were both okay, but nothing special. With these two appetizers and 2 glasses of happy hour wine and 1 happy hour beer the bill was $42. Not the best value for the money. My husband called this visit "a swing and a miss". There are other options in the Walnut Creek area with better seafood happy hour items such as Wences.
