What a lovely little restaurant. Went on a Sunday after church.We all ordered breakfast. It was excellent and was a feast. You should not go away hungry from there.Eggs, toast, hash browns and a pancake for less than 6.00

my wife and i enjoy longhorn for our sunday brunch. we usually sit at the bar and have a appetizer and a glass of wine. the bar staff are just awesome! They're attentive and remember our favorite drinks as soon as we show up. hats off to john, jessica, mando,lorissa, maryann and jackie. i know i forgot someone! but YOU know who you are. you can tell by the tip i leave! haha Today they brought us a cake and some balloons thanking us for our loyalty. that was nice! thank you to Dora and your managers for making us feel special.

Enjoy a pizza buffet on occasion. Must admit I have been looking forward to visiting this pizza place since arriving in the area. Stopped by on Monday for lunch. We arrived at 12:30 and there was no waiting. $13.26 for the two of us, not including a drink. (no senior citizen discounts) Found our way to the line and decided we were too late for lunch. 4 pans of pizza on the buffet. Mostly half full. All but one were covered with pepperoni, which I can't eat. Asked a worker about different pizza. He explained there was more coming. Took on piece of cheese and headed for a table. Looked over the salad bar pretty bland. Nothing appealing. Had my cheese pizza while I waited, it was warm and good. Wife alerted me that more was being added. I headed that way and found myself behind couple of families and others who were also hungry. By my time at the line there was one piece of a pie that appeared to have bacon bits on it. Took the one piece and then bypassed 5 or 6 others covered with pepperoni. Stopped and got a couple of bites of the desert pizza. Thought about a salad but it had been cleaned since the last stop and just kept going. Asked a worker when they would have more pizza. He shrugged and walked away.Bottom line we have three small pieces of pizza, and two bites of the desert pizza. Pretty place, kids I am sure have a good time with the games. Think next time want pizza will go to CC's save a few cents and know that they will add whatever I like to the line.

Was hesitant ordering the bake potato with meat but it was big enough to split. VERY good food. Been there twice in week.BBQ sauce is a bit spicy and I like a bite, so I order sweet. Actually the meat is excellent without any sauceThis picture does no justice for size of potato. It is at least 9 inches. It is topped with lean chopped brisket. That is sandwich also.Thanks for the friendly review! We're so glad you loved it and can't wait to serve you again soon

We had two couples for dinner and both cuples elected for the deep fried shrimp dinner. Service was good and the shrimp were plump and were cooked to perfection but the fries were soggy and oversaturated with oil that was used far too long. Cold slaw and charo bean sides were good! Will go back and give it a second chance!

So we decided to eat Churchs Fried Chicken. I used a coupon that was for 5.99.5 pieces of chicken, 2 biscuits, 2 sides of mashed potatoes and an apple pie.....what a deal! This restaurant has been here like forever and to come back and get some chicken from here that is just as good as it was 35 years ago is amazing. Everyone was nice and respectful. If you are ever in Mercedes, Texas, come by and have some Church s Friend Chicken. You won't regret it.

If you know what Chili's food is... Then that is what you'll get.Allthough I remember that salads were huge, this time lettuce must be very expensive, cause they certainly cutted the amount served.Lots of new dishes (at least for me, different menu) same quality!.Service: we had great service at the beggining, but at the end, they just don't pick up the empty dishes, and they bring coffee and dessert to a messy table. Disgusting.

I have been to Smoking Oak many times. I love the ribs and my husband enjoys the brisket and sausage. Consistently great food every time we go and a great selection of sides. Staff are friendly & very helpful. Restaurant is clean. A very enjoyable dining experience! Also, love the new restaurant addition and expanded parking lot.
