After reading raves we thought we would give this place a try. Food was just average BBQ which we was kinda disappointed since Texas was known for good BBQ. We have better in KY. The sauce was runny and flavorless. They only have 1 flavor of sauce too. The beans was lack lustier as well. The turkey was good and flavorful. Prices was average for average BBQ. We would not eat here again. Staff was friendly.

We are never disappointed when we dine at a Cracker Barrel. Our food tonight was hot and tasty. We both had the soup with grilled chicken salad. So much food and so fresh and delicious. The beef vegetable soup was served nice and hot. We have our dressing on the side and find that half the amount given is just enough. Love the side of biscuits too - yummy.

My husband and I along with another couple had a double anniversary celebratory dinner here when we were visiting the Hill Country. The four of us were delighted with our choices of Teriyaki/Chipotle Shrimp, Chicken Alfredo, Cilantro/Lime Shrimp, and the Filet. Service was impeccable and the ambiance of the beautiful art and historic stone walls made it a very special dinner. We finished in time to walk over to view the sunset on the Guadalupe River. Just a perfect evening!

"..a gem of a restaurant off the city’s main street. It has a wine store, a large bar with about 20 (craft)beers on tap, and a restaurant, where you can eat(locally sourced) antelope sliders or quail tacos.” –Texas Monthly

A gem of place for Kerrville! The menu choices were good and the food delicious! Definitely start with the brussel sprouts...you won’t be disappointed! We had the quail lettuce wraps also as a starter and would have loved it as an entree! Tender and juicy quail deliciously doused with Sriracha. The Sloppy Mo Jo extended my love for lamb. Cooked to perfection and nicely seasoned for that true Mediterranean taste.Food, taste, service and choices were all outstanding! Beer and wine, plenty to choose and try. Plenty of free parking across the street in a covered garage so don’t pass the opportunity to stop in.

Went there based on Trip Advisor ratings. Group of 5. I ordered the brisket plate. I would rate it as average at best. I've had more tender briskets than one served. Side dish of potato salad and beans were fine. One of group order chicken soup which was clearly homemade and considered very good. The portions were large, you won't leave hungry. If I were to return would order something else, maybe take advice of other reviews.

First, let me say that we live in CA with a second home in Kerrville. Our go-to steak and seafood restaurant in CA is Mastros so unfairly, we compare all others to this place and none ever make the grade until we discovered this place. 1011 Bistro is tough competition when comparing the quality of steaks. Their filet mignon can be cut with a butter knife, the garlic in the potatoes is perfect and so on. THE fresh baked bread..OMG - that's worth the trip in itself. LOL. We ate there twice last week because we cannot find any other place in town with this kind of quality. While comparing the two - this place is relatively inexpensive for its quality. PLUS it has a dreamy view of the Guadalupe river. While some may complain of the service, I think the less employees they have working is their way of keeping prices down. Since this is a retirement community, I am assuming they chose cost and quality over upscale service and I am more than ok with that and feel its a very wise choice on their part. The service is not bad, just not as attentive at times but always super friendly and professional. The only thing I miss is a lemon drop martini but I found a bottle of Moscato that I like in its place. We ended up buying gift certificates for several of our neighbors so they would try this place. Its pretty empty on weeknights but we were told it gets busy on weekends. Guess I will have to try it and their prime rib. Lastly, thank you staff for letting us dine at 8:45 and still being friendly with us as I know you were all looking to leave soon. Your Texan hospitality was appreciated. We will be back!
