Might be small be good on taste. Love the Ox-tail! - With a lite gravy not super dark. Nice size with meat on bones, Opens at 11am, and that the time to get there before others lol'Super sweet and God loving. Super to see God first! So nice

I went to this place on the recommendation of my brother. It was a great idea and we had some of the best barbecue that we've had in awhile. The "cue" had a good smoky flavor and was very tender. Their beans are great as well.

Mama Francis is a small "soul food' restaurant tucked away in a neighborhood down the street from a public school in La Marque Tx located in Galveston County Tx. This is the real deal. The food takes like food that grandmother used to make. Its indicative of the African American Culture post slavery. There is good home made from scratch cornbread, yams, collard greens, peach cobbler, oxtails and fried fish and chicken. Mama Francis has it all. She and her husband run a nice family styled restaurant in semi residential area on Vauthier Rd. in La Marque, Tx. She also makes an old fashion kool aide concocted with a secret ingredient that will make you drink yourself silly. There is one drawback and that is its too small. They could use more space but worth the visit. Nice friendly lady and husband too. Try it and I know you will like it. Oh yes, and the smothered pork chop will make you bite your finger. Where we have motorway services with a few shops, But-Ees goes that much further. Virtually a large Supermarket, selling motoring goods, souvenirs, clothes, sweets, takeaway foods of every description, beers and wine.

Stopped in for a late lunch. Blackened Catfish was wonderful. DH had fried Catfish and enjoyed that as well. Each included 2 sides, we both had salad and I had spinach, very good, DH had fried ocra, also good. A choice of cornbread or Texas toast was also included with each meal. They also serve breakfast and heavily advertise chicken & waffles. Monday-Friday lunch buffet is served from 11-2. We will definitely return.

When you've had enough seafood in Galveston and are ready for some BEEF, this is the place to go. Their walls are crammed with trophies and awards, and once you taste their food, you'll understand why. Excellent brisket, delicious sides. The dining room isn't fancy, but you won't care. You'll leave satisfied with the good BBQ and good prices. EAT HERE SOON!

Huge meal, huge tender homemade biscuits, texas chicken fried steak is as big as a platter and was very good. Grits were just ok, gravy for biscuits was average, strong coffee. Good service, checked back a couple of times. Country ham was good sized. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food that you get.

You might not think of having lunch or dinner at a bait camp, but Louis is a locals favorite! The waitresses are nice and friendly and Henry is quite a cook! Friendly atmosphere inside and out on the deck. We love the Shrimp Alfredo and the hamburger steak. The burgers are huge and the beer is always cold!

One of My favorite places in the area. My Husband and I decided on The Chicken Fried Chicken per reviews. It was Delicious and those are some buttery mashed potatoes. Took off a star because I was disappointed in the Wings they were Tiny but the flavor was there and they have blue cheese. Came on a Friday night and We had great service. Charming Spot. Good Margarita's!
