This used to be one of our go to restaurants but today itâs simply an ok place to have dinner. First of all, the service in the dining room is usually good however if you eat at the bar they are simply rushing you out the door by 9pm. I just canât figure that one out. Why not let customers enjoy a couple drinks and dinner without feeling that they are imposing? On to the food... absolutely no creativity whatsoever and it looks like the salads, potatoes, and vegetables are all made well in advance. For instance, whatever main you order... filet, fish or chicken they all come with the same sides that are just bland. A tip for the chef... thereâs other fish to purchase other than âSeabassâ. How about changing that up for once? Again, the food is average at best but with a premium price tag. We wonât be coming back anytime soon.

Seated right away (that should have tipped us off right away), waitress was friendly, she brought us our drinks right away (they do not serve Pepsi or Cola--only "RC" which tastes flat if you are use to drinking Pepsi or Cola). She brought us a dinner role with butter. I ordered a rack of bbq ribs, baked beans and fries. The ribs had a nice bbq sauce on them, but the ribs were cold, extremely fatty with not much meat on the bone. The fries were cold. The baked beans were delicious. Overall, not a good experience. Don't think I'll go back.

Visited last night for dinner and drinks. The menu was small, but there were a few vegetarian choices which was great. We ended up ordering noodle bowls with tofu, salads, and frites. Everything was absolutely delicious. The beer selection was small, but perfect, featuring a few local choices. The bartender did a fantastic job with cocktails. There's a nice lot for parking. We will definitely be back !

First of all if you go, make sure you get the blooming onion as an appetizer. Splurge on the calories and share one with the family. We always enjoy are steaks, salad and loaded bake potato. Some of the Outback's put coarse salt on the outside of the potato, I find it a bit salty so I ask for my potato to not have salt on it. The Cesar salad is good and my husband likes the Blue cheese dressing on his garden salad. The staff has always been very friendly, we have never come across a rude waiter/waitress. It does get busy on the weekend so we try to go before 5 or by 5. We don't like to wait. Make sure you try it.

Older building near the Ford plant looking tired, but spruced up inside with comfortable seating and spacious dining. First of all the service (Chris our knowledgeable server) was 1st rate. Drinks came out quickly, and fresh baked bread shortly thereafter. Salads were great - the thai dressing amazing. We chose the veal marsala - only warm, the crab haddock - great, and my 1st halibut cheeks - outstanding. It did take too long from salad to entree, we were surprised since the restaurant was not full, but another round of fresh bread did the trick. We ended the evening with fresh local coffee, and an amazing piece of coconut cream pie to share.I do suggest reservations, the restaurant is small - less busy that night because of the Erie County Fair. WORTH the ride from wherever in WNY.

Mess Hall ? Not like any I ever entered. Pleasant decor with good food at reasonable price served by pleasant staff. A definite stop if visiting Our Lady of Victory or the nearby Buffalo Botanical Gardens. A worthwhile stop if NOT visiting the forementioned.

My girlfriend and I decided to meet at the Poppyseed restaurant cause it was convenient for both of us to meet. She ordered the Chicken Souvlaki salad and I ordered the Jamaican Chicken salad. Both were huge with fresh crisp greens and perfectly seasoned chicken. Waitress was wonderful, didnât rush us. Busy restaurant, booth style seating. Will return!

My friend Paul and I hit the Apollo Restaurant for lunch last Friday. This is one of the many Greek places in the area.He had heard about their Buffalo platter which unfortunately they don't offer on Friday's. He settled for the Reuben sandwich while I had their chicken cranberry salad. Both meal portions were plentiful and tasted great though Paul thought the amount of meat in his Reuben was skimpy and admittedly I've seen bigger myself. TONS of chicken in my salad. Our server Angela was simply super. Everything you would want in a server.Very attentive and quick to anticipate your needs.

Lucia's on the Lake is a New American / Italian Waterfront Restaurant and Bar featuring fresh seafood, seasonal locally sourced ingredients, and an eclectic menu of Italian, Seafood, and Contemporary American cuisine.
This a beautiful spot close to Lake Erie with lovely water viewing while drinking cocktails/wine on the upstairs outside deck. Ideal spot except for wires making it a somewhat obstructed view. Too bad food isnât served up there because not only lovely but quiet. Downstairs in the main eating area itâs a bit noisy and although windows with seats next to them, the view wasnât quite the same, especially since they kept moving the shades to protect those who didnât want the sun in their eyes, despite offering sunglasses for those patrons. We just wore our sunglasses because how often is that view available on a sunny Buffalo evening? The food was good, the seafood very fresh and tasty, sauces good, but the biggest drawback to this place is that the pasta is made elsewhere, and definitely stale compared to fresh house made pasta and risotto. And you really notice the flavorless stale pasta That really disappointed the four of us especially since early that week and the following night we ate fresh house-made pasta in two different terrific Buffalo restaurants. We also ordered the huge bruschetta plate and we did eat that all down. Pricy but decent.
