The Beach Hut has moved from the wharf and now is located adjacent to the Molisi grocery and across the street from the Nuku'alofa central market. The friendly atmosphere, good coffee and excellent food that was offered remains as before. A purchase gives you free WiFi access through the Digicel HotSpot system that seems pretty fast, at least relative to the hotel WiFi. There is a good variety of dishes offered and the prices are similar to those of other restaurants of the same type. It is not noisy and is a good place to talk with friends over good food or just a nice coffee.

Little Italy Restaurant opened its door to the community of Tonga in 1996 in a beautiful traditional Tongan Fale(House). However, now with a 22 rooms hotel attached to the restaurant, walking distance from the original location. For over a decade, Little Italy Restaurant has prided itself as one of Tonga's finer restaurants, offers authentic Italian food with a variety of pizzas handmade and baked in the traditional Italian way. There are many different types of pastas available, which are cooked to perfection and complemented with a sauce of your choice. The Italian wine selection is the best you can get here in Tonga, in addition our Chef has chosen and created some specialties with beef fillet steak, lobster, fish and poultry. We try our best to accommodate any dietary requests or restrictions whenever possible. Restaurant is open 6 days a week for breakfast and dinner. Sunday we are closed to the public, but open for dinner to all of our house guests exclusively. Come visit us today, whether for a a Birthday Party, Anniversary, Graduation or just a special event to get intimate with a few good friends or family. One of the few places to dress in smart casual clothes to dinner, the lasagne my wife had was one of the best she's tasted, my fettuccine was nice too but lacking the chicken that was in the description, nice wine , good ambiance once some noisy kids disappeared, to top it off a nice piece of birthday cake compliments of the celebrating on the next table, great place for families ( with well behaved kids).

We visited Billfish three times & every time we received amazing service. Twice for drinks, once for dinner. For dinner, we shared the Tempura Tuna - it's delicious. For mains, I had the fish burger & my husband had the Jucie Lucie. Both were awesome. And the bill? We were there for Happy Hour. 4 spirits each, shared entree & 2 mains. $82. Total bargain. Plus the atmosphere is great. This is a GREAT place.

A charmingly cool respite from the sticky hot weather. Comfortable Seating and very spacious. The food and drinks are well prepared and excellently presented. The menu should satisfy most peoples needs as there are plenty of options.
The staff are genuinely friendly and listen attentively to any little requests. Always cheerful and welcoming.
Currently this is my number one relaxation point. Very good coffees, juices, green coconut drinks etc.
Delightful place to hang out.

The staff here were very helpful and really went that extra mile to help visitors even making multiple phone calls to track down a tuk-tuk driver.
There were numerous items for sale including some packets of amazing coffee.
The food was pretty good and the menu was varied with lots of choices. The coffee was outstanding.

Sandwiches, chicken dishes and fish and chips are the common food you will find in Nuku alofa. but if you want something different, something to tickle and spice up your palate, head to the Korean House by the waterfront in Vuna Road. The spicy pork soup (cannot remember the name now) served with rice and all those pickled vegetables hit their marks. Walked out very happy from that joint. But here is a reminder, Sunday, the religious rest day is strictly observed here in Tonga, no commercial activities, so remember to come anytime except sunday.

We stayed in the hotel for one night and had dinner that exceeded our expectations. Neither my girlfriend nor me had had such a delicious dinner in months, maybe in a year.
A couple of days later, we learned from another couple that the small - but outstanding - menu changes once a week only, which you might take into consideration when you stay more than two or three nights.
But if you are staying just one night - or actually are not staying in the hotel at all and just have dinner - this is a restaurant I can and will highly recommend. I am sure, this would be top rated amongst the best restaurants in Europe.

Recommended by another local restaurant we were warmly greeted by friendly staff at this busy restaurant. The concise though adequate menu offered an interesting selection of dishes, for madam scallops followed by steak with mustard sauce, for me sashimi followed by steak with mushroom sauce. All dishes were well presented, nicely cooked and tasty. The one comment was that the portion sizes were huge. The sashimi consisted of at least 10 slices of thickly cut tuna, 3 were adequate as an entree, the steaks were at least 325g if not more! All washed down with a bottle of Villa Maria cab merlot.

Beautiful fresh Korean food. The first was a buffet for twenty people. Sashimi, Korean pancake, and other great dishes. Second time lunch with friends, dumplings and kimchi rice - both great. Lovely hosts too! A must visit.
