The beach near Cocholgue is very nice for a day trip from Concepcion. The restaurant has a very nice view, specially if you sit outside (on not really comfortable chairs).
So far the positive part. The service is lousy and very slow. The food is of poor or at best average quality. It is a puzzle to me how someone can mess up a very nice piece of fish. The sauces are quite a disaster as well. The empanadas are ok though, not bad. The pisco sour is average, nothing special.
So lovely view but if you want to eat something good as well go elsewhere.

Cuando entras a este lugar te trasladas unos años atrás, el ambiente y las fotografías antiguas de Tome y la ubicación al final de un callejón con un río en su puerta, te provocan una sensación agradable, mas aun si lo acompañas con un buen panqueque y té saborizado a eso de las 19 ó 20 hrs...su carta simple, las preparaciones con cariño...lugar para conversar o simplemente relajarse...se recomienda para aquellos que buscan algo distinto en un lugar distinto.

En primer lugar, no es un restaurante, con suerte tienen 3 sandwiches. Nada más. En segundo lugar, esa “onda” son 4 parlantes poniendo reggaetón antiguo muy fuerte. Nada que ver con lo que se describe aquí. Y en último lugar, los sándwiches eras malos, secos e incluso le faltaban ingredientes que salían en la carta.

Nice outdoor area on the beach and fine for food and drinks...nothing spectacular and nothing terrible. I had the chuleta con agregado (pork chop with a side) and had to add salt and pepper to both. The fries were pretty good, crispy and salty. Everyone at our table liked their seafood dishes and the empanadas were good as well.
The waitress didn't know anything about wine but was nice enough. Very traditional Chilean place, so don't expect fast or attentive service.
Street parking though they have their own lot, sort of...
Spanish speaking only as of April 2017.

I went about three times in a three week stay in Dichato. Very nice and peaceful atmosphere. Food is great! Loved the pizzas and the calzone is to die for. Try the tiramisu, you won’t regret it

Es pequeño, acogedor, agradable. Delicioso para el horario del té, chocolate caliente, café, torta, kuchen, sándwich, lo que sea es rico.
En invierno, un imperdible son los picarones.
Para pareja o grupo pequeño, está ideal.

Excelente lugar para comer, lugar muy cómodo , comida muy rica y precios mas que razonables, totalmente recomendable en mi caso comimos empanadas queso jaiba, macha , camaron y todas muy buenas! Ademas unas ricas machas a la parmesana. Recomendable al cien !

Este restorant tiene buena carta y ademas posee menus diarios de valores bien austeros.
La atención es excelente.
Tiene ademas un patio exterior qe puedes comer tambien y agradable con dias de sol.
Sus dueños son chef, saben de comida..y se nota.
Lo recomiendo.
A media hora de Concepción.
