A little disappointing on the whole. Very slow and not particularly attentive service. The food was quiet good overall but far from being exceptional as we all had hoped. The fact that we were sitting underneath the air conditioning did certainly not add to our well-being. Tried once, won’t try again.

The trick in Japan is to follow line ups. I only got fooled once doing it, so it works most of the time.I ordered the Udon plate with meat and seafood, my nephew the bisque Udon and my brother the tempura and vegetable one. We had 6 drinks and an appetizer of ducks. Portions are huge, which is quite rare in Japan. It was one of my greatest meal. Loved the sauce, I also had a lot of the bisque soup. The duck was great. Our total bill was around 10 000, which is quite decent. The restaurant is on the 9th floor with an amazing view and the service was really great.

Tokyo Shiba Tofuya Ukai

The restaurant features beautiful pine trees and a pond where Koi carp swim. Passing in front of the garden lantern and waterwheel and walking on the steppingstones, you will find yourself back in time in the town of Edo, the Tokyo of 200 years ago. Pleas

We were at the restaurant in late autumn and the japanese style gardens at the restaurant was just beautiful. Breathtaking. And the food did not disappoint and matched up to the beauty and serenity of the restaurant. A special place to visit in tokyo and to celebrate a nice occasion.

From the presentation of the dishes, to the explanation of where the food originated from, this was an incredible experience from start to finish. Yuuki is very welcoming and he takes immense pride in his preparation. Each dish is completely different and very flavorful. I would highly recommend the sake pairing as well. I can’t wait to go back the next time I’m in Tokyo.
