素朴な甘味の自慢焼と小倉アイスが名物ですが、創業60年以上を誇るレトロな店内では洋食も頂けます。足利を散策する際の一休みの場所としてお勧めです。

群馬名物”鳥めし弁当”で有名な登利平の足利店。足利競馬場跡地に移転した足利赤十字病院の近くにあります。2019年3月時点で栃木県でただ一つの登利平です。

足利で老舗として知られる洋食屋さん。週末のランチは混むのがわかりきっているので、11時に行きました。おかげでゆっくり食べられましたが、続々とお客さんが来店。ランチセットについている定番のドライカレーがおいしいです。辛さもほどよく、4歳の子どもでも食べられました。

Very nice place to have breakfast. Expedient , food, staff, quality and timely service were all excellent. Quick service, very polite and good coffee. Went return anytime for additional meals.

足利の地元民に人気の洋食屋さんです。場所は野州山辺駅の直ぐ近くです。人気メニューは、数量限定でお店の名前が付いた「開国屋ハンバーグ」です。牛肉100%のグリルハンバーグで、おろし醤油ソースに付けて食べます。ハンバーグの量は、200gと250gから選ぶことが出来ます。その他のおすすめとしては、霜降りの武蔵野産最上ロースを使用した「開国屋ポーク」があります。とてもやわらかいお肉です。こちらもハンバーグ同様におろし醤油ソースに付けて食べますが、生おろしわさびも添えられていました。メニューは何れも単品なので、食事にする場合はセットメニューにする必要があります。Aセットは、ライス・味噌汁・漬物で和風になります。Bセットは、ライス・ドリンクで洋風です。「開国屋ハンバーグ」も「開国屋ポーク」も、お値段は多少高めかも知れませんが、とても美味しいです。食べてはいませんが、おすすめの変わったメニューとして、「開国屋ボンゴレスパゲッティ」があります。ガーリックの効いたスープパスタにミニライスが付いていて、パスタを食べ終えた後にミニライスを入れて雑炊にして食べるとのことです。

I have visited this restaurant twice and I will likely be visiting again.All of the food I have eaten here was very good; I would recommend the chicken with creamy mushroom and garlic sauce. This is served with a small baked potato, some carrots and peas. I also opted to have a side of bread which is served with butter and herby, garlicky cream cheese (perhaps Boursin). The food is reasonably priced and the restaurant is attached to a small traditional Japanese Garden which you can walk through after your meal.There restaurant is within walking distance of Bannaji Temple and Ashikaga Gakkou.

JR両毛線足利駅北口のすぐ近くにある大衆食堂です。外観はパッと見、営業しているかどうかさえ判別できません。「OPEN」の札が掲げられていれば営業中のはず。入店すると店内のレトロ加減にも驚きます。特に椅子が物凄いことになってます。上カツ丼を頂きましたが、カツが転げ落ちそうなくらい分厚い肉でしたが、柔らかくて美味しかったです。もう少しダシを効かせてもらえるともっと美味いと思いますが、何よりボリュームが素晴らしいです。

Did not think that a grape winery would be located in Japan, but then maybe I was profiling by thinking only of rice wine when my host suggested going to a winery for lunch. There were 10 of us and we all enjoyed the time spent. Being a Sunday it was very busy with families and that is an indication of the high regard people have for the winery. The vineyard is on a very steep hill overlooking the facility. Very impressive.The staff was courteous and helpful. Food was served quickly and correctly.It was only lunch, but it was a good lunch.
