One of my favorite places to eat in Erfurt. That's great that you can order either american or german food there. The portions are enourmous, but you can ask for a half of the dish and they will eagerly do it for you! Suitable for vegetarians as well. The service is not super perfect, it's not a restaurant, but quite okay, none of the waiters were ever rude to me, they normally smile to you and behave really friendly, so you're in a good mood for the rest of the day. The location of it is pretty close to the city centre. They have a nice summer terrace and a special room for smoking.

We were in Erfurt in July 2014, during the FIFA World Cup and were looking for a place to watch the game. The Dubliner Irish pub had screens displaying the game both inside and outside. We had some beer (Guinness and Grolsch) and Cider (Stowford) and shared fish & chips (8.9â¬) and Currywurst (6.9â¬) - both dishes were large and good. The atmosphere was very lively, the service excellent although the place was packed full (it was so full we shared our table with another couple), the drinks cold, the food hot - everything one needs in a pub.

Last night dinner at Erfurt was at this restaurant with a view of the river. The place is very busy that is why the friendly staff have to delay our dinner by frequently asking us if we want more drinks even though the bottles of wine are for our large group is not yet empty. The sweet potato soup with bacon was superb. The main course which was advertised as special Thuringen style of pork with sweet potato pancakes was edible but there was really nothimg special about it in presentation nor style. The cheese cake dessert with blie berry jam was terrible. Nobody in our table finished even a third of it. Again the very attentive and efficient staff saved the day for this restaurant. They should continue to improve on their "Thuringen special" which was quite disappointing especially when we really expected something special.
