There were mills here in the 10th century. These mills have been reconstucted and are fascinating..There are 3 different types of mills, a gristmill for producing flour, a trip hammer mill for pounding metal from the forge and finally the fulling mill for the production of wool and linen cloth. The mills are open to the public and entry is free. It's a very picturesque riverside walk. This is a not to be missed place
