Just stopped by quickly on our way through with our daughter and so thrilled that we took the time to find this little studio - Helen and her partner were so welcoming, and our daughter loved hearing Helen talk to her about painting and drawing - even having a chance to get close up to one of Helen's current projects! Walked away from the studio with a lovely little print and a colouring book for Maisey to get her teeth into - will definitely be looking to buy more art soon, as standing in this studio surrounded by so much colour made us feel so happy - a must see if you're passing through :)

My 7 year old daughter had such a fabulous evening learning to throw a pot with Alex. He is such a patient and fun teacher who coped admirably with her overflowing enthusiasm. She is thrilled that she made bowls and a cup she will be able to use (once they are finished being fired). Highly recommend this experience and next time I will bring the rest of the family and definitely have a go myself.

Booked a 2 hour painting session for 3 of us via Facebook. Choose our own pieces to paint from a well stocked range so you make the day as cheap or expense as you like. There are also many painted items around to help you with some inspiration. Owners are extremely welcoming and very helpful and gave loads of hints and tips. We had never done this before and loved it. Even if it's at the end of your stay, you can have your piece(s) posted to you once is been fired. Cannot wait for ours to arrive in the post.

Had the absolute pleasure of spending a few hours with friends at Barefoot Ceramics for a pottery experience. We were all complete novices- but Fiona made us feel completely relaxed from the moment she greeted us outside the Centre. Fiona was extremely informative and very patient with us. The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. I would highly recommend this an outing for a bit of therapeutic fun and relaxation. Lovely Centre and the coffee shop looks excellent - we can’t wait to go back in a couple of weeks to collect our ‘pots’ and enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake. How Fiona managed to keep a straight face with our “overprotective” attire I will never know. Hope she’ll allow us back for more frivolity and fun!
