X country skiing and snowshoeing and tubing! My son and I had a blast! The staff were super friendly and helpful and very reasonable prices. The tubing was more fun than the ski resort magic carpets because you had to walk up and the ride was a twisty and fun one!

We skied here on a nice day in March. They have many miles of trails with a good variety of rolling terrain in fields and in the woods. The "lodge" is in the control tower of a small airport. There is a ski rental shop and warming room. You can bring your lunch. The trails were nicely groomed and we really enjoyed it.

Timber Creek Cross Country Ski Area

I took a cross country ski lesson on Monday a couple weeks back and returned Tuesday for for some snow shoeing. Joy helped me purchase the ticket for the grounds as well as my lesson. She was also my instructor. She suggested purchasing a two day ticket rather than two one day tickets in order to save a few dollars as there is a discount for multi-day tickets if purchased at the same time. Great tip! The price of your ticket is very reasonable - only $25 for the day and I think $15 for additional days. Downhill skiing right across the street at Mount Snow is almost $100 more! During the cross country ski lesson, Joy was very patient. This was my first time out and was used to down hill skiing and found this very different. She provided me with a wonderful lesson and enjoyed it very much. My two days out on the grounds were quiet however they were grooming and kept an eye out on people on the property to make sure everyone was safe.
