We attended the 6:30pm class on Saturday August 10th. I booked it to celebrate our wedding anniversary. All of the staff was very friendly and informative. We learned a lot about how to make pizza at home in your own oven using simple ingredients and tools. The class started off by making our own dough from scratch. While our dough was rising, the staff created four pizzas for us to try. Then it was time to make our own. After sampling the sauce and some cheeses we took our dough and created four pizzas however we chose. We decided to create a margarita, classic NY pepperoni, a white pizza and last a desert pizza. We ended up taking home almost three whole pizzas. At the end of the night we went home satisfied, stuffed and with plenty of leftovers and happy memories. We cannot wait to give this as a gift for others to experience. This is a must do if you like pizza and great for a date night.

We spent the evening with executive chef Jason at the 700 Kitchen Cooking School in July and had a wonderful time. Jason taught us how to prepare a wonderful four-course dinner consisting of shrimp bisque, seared halibut with cabernet mushroom risotto, an herb-roasted tenderloin with bearnaise sauce paired with roasted vegetable hash, and a delicious espresso chocolate mousse with raspberries for dessert. The dinner even included wine! The food and drink alone were well worth the cost of the cooking class (you won't find a better meal in Savannah in our opinion) but the laid-back atmosphere and manner in which our meal was prepared put the whole experience over the top. We were able to participate in the process and were provided more than a few cooking tips along the way including how to prevent butter sauces from breaking- an issue I always run into when I am trying to cook fancy.) Jason's hospitality made it the best experience of our weekend in Savannah. The food was exceptional and Jason's down-to-earth easy-going manner made the evening one to remember. We would highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Savannah. You will not be disappointed!!!

Chef Jodi Abel led a group of 75 Hillel of San Diego parents, students, alumni, and community supporters in a fun and memorable virtual cooking experience, making three different latke and sauce recipes for Hanukkah! With her positive energy, great storytelling, and truly exquisite fresh ingredient recipes, in spite of cooking in our individual kitchens in places around the country, we felt like one community because of Chef Jodi! I also want to give a shout out to Chef Jodi's emcee Dani, who read questions from our group as they popped up in the chat box. Chef Jodi was happy to answer them and address questions in real time as we mixed, cooked, and fried together. That touch made the whole experience feel as if we were together at a cooking party. I've heard from guests that they would love to do this again. I can't think of a better endorsement of Lajollacooks4u!

Our group of spouses and guests of attendees of a meeting had a wonderful time learning to make our wonderful New Orleans-style lunch of vegetarian and non-veg jambalaya as well as crawfish étouffée, and bananas foster for dessert! Coordinating our private class with the staff was more than pleasant, as they were always available, helpful, and communicative in the weeks leading up to and during our visit.
