The ethnographic museum “Kyluet” was opened in 2004 in Shymkent city, by the famous South Kazakhstan potter Kendebay Karabdalov. The ethnographic museum “Kulyuet” is an unusual museum; it includes an underground hilvet - an ancient underground structure with prayer rooms, which the author dug independently for seven months, a pottery workshop and an exhibition of ceramics.
