Things to do in Toronto, Canada: The Best Bars & Clubs

June 18, 2021 Sheron Bogner

We've heard Toronto described as "New York City run by the Swiss," and it's true—you can find world-class theater, shopping and restaurants here, but the sidewalks are clean and the people are friendly. The best place to start is literally at the top—the CN Tower, the tallest freestanding structure in the Western Hemisphere.

Elephant & Castle Pub & Restaurant

Reviewed By ChunkersGolf - Toronto, Canada

Went to elephant and castle king street for dinner with 20 friends pre phantom of the opera and was shocked to see how big the place was! They seated us at the back of the restaurant and our server was Stephanie (with a trainee who I don’t recall her name). Food and drink was serviced accurately and timely and it offered us a place for us to talk without ridiculously loud music. We finished our dinner and drinks with plenty of time to get to the theatre!! Since we enjoyed our experience so much, we brought the same group back post show and once again, had a wonderful time!! Stephanie was exemplary on both visits and it was really her that made both visits perfect!! The orders and bills were accurate and the space was absolutely perfect for our friends to get together!! Convenient to both theatres so as subscribers, we will definitely be back!! Thanks so much!!

A group of us went to the Ballroom on August 24th 2020 and there was a bit of confusion when we came in due to our seating. The manager approached the matter in a very caring and professional manner and directed us to our correct bowling lane. We had such a great time and not only that our waitress Nadia was amazing! She made sure everything was okay and had great hospitality.

The Fifth Social Club a hugely popular party bar for mature professionals on Friday or Saturday nights. The bottle service offered here features spacious booths and is voted top 10 in Toronto by BlogTO. Now in its twentieth year, The Fifth Social Club has become a landmark in Toronto's Entertainment District. It continues to attract a mixed group of visiting celebs and locals alike. The airy loft feeling of the room, which was once part of a textile factory, comes from its original turn of the century post & beam structure and hard wood floors. Furnished with a 'Hamptons' style décor it has been painted all in white and houses 4 bars, various oversized bottle service sections and a bustling dance floor.
