Took a group of men with disabilities here and enjoyed watching the ducks and people boating and fishing. Very pretty and peaceful nature place to relax, enjoy, and reflect.

Living Treasures Animal Park

Living Treasures Wild Animal Park, a great family experience for all ages. We have hundreds of animals almost in touching range. A large petting area features new babies that love to be hand fed. We are adjacent to Log Cabin Lodge and Suites. Come spend the day with us.

We had a mixed group of kids ages 7,10,17, and 19. Everyone had a good time, even the teenagers. Lots of animals that we could pet and feed and interact with. Plenty of staff to answer questions and keeping an eye on things. Most of the animals we interacted with were very tame and great with the kids.

The Mill at Anselma

Historic site and event venue. Nestled along the Pickering Creek in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania, the Mill at Anselma is an extraordinary artifact of 250 years of Chester County’s industrial heritage. The Mill retains its original Colonial-Era power train, as well as multiple layers of industrial equipment ranging from the late 1700s to the mid 1900s. Guided tours of the Mill are offered Saturday (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and Sunday (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.) April through December. The Mill at Anselma is still a fully operational grist mill that produces stone-ground Bread Flour, Pastry Flour and Dark Roasted Cornmeal. There are monthly milling demonstrations on the second Saturday of each month from April through December as well as monthly special events.

The Mill is great...when they have tours, it is cool to see how wheat, corn, etc is ground up and turned into powder/flour. Also a great place to take the kids to see Santa!!

Wonderful and peaceful. I loved the boardwalks. Cardinals, blue jays, hawks, different waterfowl, and deer were among the wildlife we saw.

Buttermilk Falls Natural Area

Reviewed By bitmapped - Morgantown, United States

Stopped by here while on an afternoon drive. Nice small county park with a neat boardwalk down and below Buttermilk Falls, an area which was once owned by Mr. (Fred) Rogers' family. There's a picnic pavilion and some hiking trails beyond the path to the falls. Probably not somewhere to spend all afternoon, but good for a nice stop.

Saint Clair Park

Reviewed By Photobugchris - Apollo, United States

Lovely setting for music under the canopy of trees. There is an amphitheater and an abundance of grassy areas to put down a blanket or chairs and listen to the free concerts on Friday nights. The music offered covers many genres with a different group every Friday. The venue turns into a huge, happy gathering with great music. Check out "Summer Sounds" at Saint Clair Park.
