The Caloundra RSL Military Display is a unique time capsule of collectibles and memorabilia from World War I through to recent conflicts. It is of great historical and educational value to the community. The Military Display is staffed by friendly volunteers from the RSL Sub Branch willing to guide you through the museum or answer your questions regarding the RSL Memorial Gardens or Caloundra Headland Memorial Walkway. The display is open from 10am to 2pm every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. During school holidays the display is open from 10am to 2pm Monday to Friday. Group Bookings and Excursions can be catered to on request. Educational activities and resources are also available for children aged 6 to 16. Visit the 'Jewel' of Maleny: Set on over seven hectares the magnificent Gardens are positioned high on the escarpment. They are privately owned and form a panorama of waterfalls, lakes, ponds and colourful plantings. Uniquely landscaped layers, idyllic rainforest surroundings and the spectacular Glasshouse Mountains backdrop create a truly unique garden. BIRD WORLD: Our facilitated, interactive Bird Encounter in the four adjoining Bird Aviaries brings you up close and personal with colourful birds of the world from Finches to Macaws. We conduct regular guided walks daily (tour times vary according to visitor demand- please enquire when purchasing your Garden Entry). Enjoy our fabulous Devonshire teas any time during the day in one of the gazebos overlooking the Gardens and mountains. Gardens are open 9am to 4.30pm 7 days a week and only closed on Christmas day.
