The Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve. Ecuador designated the 603.380 square kilometers (2,329.7 sq mi) a protected wildlife zone since July 26th, 1979. This positive step forward towards the preservation of part of the Amazon River Basin has allowed us to develop our lodge around the idea of low impact eco-tourism. Our hope is that, by exposing you to the untouched natural beauty surrounding the lodge, you will understand and share that these resources should be enjoyed and preserved for future generations to come. The Lodge has the best and one of the single most distinctive locations in the reserve, allowing for picturesque sunsets viewed across the large freshwater lake. Much of the wildlife you will see is dependent on the unique ecosystem the lake supports allowing for some rare viewing opportunities

We (my husband and I ) had an amazing time in the Galapagos Islands! We did this trip at the end of October 2020 after the stressful lockdown covid months, so we were looking forward to unwind and visit for the first time the enchanted islands as our vacation. The tours designed by Rebecca Adventure were perfect and customized to our taste and needs. We visited Santa Cruz and Isabela and it was perfect because there weren't many tourists at the time due to the pandemic. We were truly impressed with all the activities, the wildlife and the services provided by our tour guides. We got to see most of the land and marine fauna that we expected, including hammerhead sharks. It was without a doubt one of the most memorable trips of our lives. We highly recommend Rebecca Adventure as your tour agency for the Galapagos and Ecuador. Biosecurity measures were very well respected on the islands, so its safe to travel! If you're looking to come to Ecuador and the Galapagos this is the time, still less tourists, the wildlife is truly impressive and besides life is short, take risks and ENJOY IT!

We had a wonderful time both in mai land Ecuador, as well as the Galapagos Islands. Everything was very well organised by Frank and Jose. Frank was always available for any inquiries and even helped us with the Covid test we had to arrange at the las moment. The entire trip felt very safe, regardless of the situation created by the pandemic, because the trip was private and Ecuador is not very crowded no. Actually, it is a better option than other European countries in this period. The best experience was to visit the Galapagos Islands, which is a once in a lifetime experience I would recommend to anyone. Many thanks to Frank and the team for a wonderful and flawless trip! :-)

Cuyabeno Reserve, the second-largest in all of Ecuador, is located in the Amazon Region, in the northeastern part of Ecuador. It is traversed by the Cuyabeno, Aguarico and SanMiguel rivers, with a complex system of lagoons to complement the main water sources. Cuyabeno is one of the most biodiverse nature reserves on Earth, with over 500 bird species, 350 birds, 100 mammals, and over 400,000 plant species. There are 5 different indigenous ethnic groups living along its banks, the Siona, Secoya, Cofan, Quichua, and Shuar. Each community has its own territory, beliefs, and practices, but they all share a deep respect for nature and a simple way of life-based largely on hunting and gathering. We spend the most incredible days at the Tucan Lodge! Everything from the the food and the rooms to the guide and activities was perfect. Besides the tours we also loved the Chocolate making from Cacao beans, sleeping siesta in hammocks in the jungle and stand up paddling with dolphins in the lagoon. Our guide Gilbert knows the jungle perfectly and spotted the most hidden animals such as giant otters, sloths, anacondas, pacas, and we even heard a jaguar from about 40m distance! We will definitely be back.
