May 4, 2022 Vivienne Hutton

You view great wine as the essence of a good vacation. Your travel companion, however, is a beer aficionado. Will it be Paris or Munich? Stop arguing and go to Strasbourg, where you can have the best of French and German cuisine, including the booze. The entire central island is a World Heritage Site. Don’t miss the 12th-century cathedral or the storybook "la Petite France" neighborhood.

The Parc Friedel is a little parc in the city with free animals. You can walk, see them and touch them. This is a very relaxing place. The parc is free and there are two parking and a big playground for kids next to the parc.

Le Jardin des Deux Rives

I spent a morning wandering the two sides: there is plenty to admire, whether it is the bridges, or the river itself, or just the well-kept park. The scaled-down solar system was an interesting addition.
