Rammang-Rammang is a place in the karst mountain range (limestone) in Maros-Pangkep. It settled in Salenrang village, District Bontoa, Maros, South Sulawesi province, or about 40 km north of Makassar. Rammang-Rammang is can be reached by road with car in less than 2 hours from the city of Makassar. Rammang-Rammang is conveniently located just a few meters from the highway across provinces. The name of "Rammang-Rammang" comes from the language of Makassar, where rammang means "cloud" or "mist". So, rammang-rammang means a set of cloud or fog. According to the local believe this place was named Rammang-Rammang because of the clouds or fog that always appearing around the area, especially in the morning or when it rains.

This week Ramadhan from Tari Travel was our driver at south sulawesi. From the airport in makassar to Toraja, visit very many different locations, including an impressive funeral ceremonie. The last days from Toraja to the very beautifull paradise location Rumah Tengah Sawah. Tomorrow back to the airport of Makassar. Ramadhan is a very good driver, especially at the the very bad small local roads at Toraje. Always quiet, never in a stress and he speaks the English language very well. The car is always very clean and bottles of water as much as you like. Nice conservations and a lot of humor. If you look fir the best driver in south sulawesi, don’t hesitate but contact Ramadhan. This tour was the best experience of our Bali trip and our driver Gede made it more memorable.
